Am I the only one that hates widescreen? For games it's ok, but for other stuff like browsing, reading pdfs or pretty much doing anything, I wish I had more vertical screen space. There's always 9999 horizontal toolbars squishing your real vertical space you actually have left to use. I actually dock my vista/xp start bar to the left so it doesnt take up ther vertical space.

Maybe your monitor is just too small? My 24" widescreen has more vertical space than my old 22" CRT. (it is 16:10 rather than 16:9)

And... right click on your taskbar and check the "Auto-hide the taskbar" box. An always-visible taskbar is a sure sign of PC newbishness... or is it the other way around...? lol. Anyways, if you're having vertical space issues you have no business keeping your taskbar visible. (and there are themes for firefox and such that really cut down on the toolbar space)

Well my 22" widescreen (16:9 since that is how they all come now) has less vertical resolution than my old 19" crt (1080 vs 1200). I'm not sure if you understood me about the task bar, but its docked on the left side instead of the bottom, so that way it doesnt eat up vertical space. I dont like a hidden task bar, I like always be able to see it. :) It only takes up 6%ish of the left side of the screen anyways. Oh, and I use chrome for my browser, I find it takes up the least space with the toolbars.

And to the above poster: not every monitor can be switched to vertical, but I can see it definitely being a help for some applications.

I only have like 10% of career mode left to do and about 30 cars left to buy, so it shouldnt take me that much longer. stupid porsche having so many R class cars is a pain though lol.

ya it can get a bit boring at times, but I still love the game and I've gotten way more value out of it than any other 360 game so far. wait til you get to the upper levels of the events where they have 6 15 minute long races lol. the ai needs a bit of playing around with - they're too much like robots, sure they'll react to you well, but besides that, they're just robots sticking to the EXACT same racing line and their lap times vary by less than a tenth of a second and they rarely every make mistakes, even on easy. those are my main complaints, but the game is otherwise amazing and playing with the wheel makes it even better.

Saints row! I don't own it but i've done my research and gives a perfect 10. the indepth customization and large variety of things to do makes this what i believe the absolute greatest video game ever made.mayormoose

lol how can you say its your favorite if you havent even played it. saints row was good for a while, but the driving part of the game eventually ruined it for me, they didnt do that part right at all. anyways, my favorite game is forza 2 lol.
