A great game with great graphics is like finding the perfect girl. Tons of fun and great to look at. Keeps you coming back for more. A horrible game with awesome graphics is like finding that hot girl that was exciting for a whole 2 minutes till you realized there was no substance or soul and quickly got rid of it.

Dude you're lucky! I wish my parents forced me to play a video game. The last game they forced me to play was pin the tail on the donkey.
What would have made this summers line-up shine with greatness would have been NBA Jam. I know they are releasing it for free with Elite 11 in a few months but screw that. I just played the snes version of TE with a friend for a good 3 hours. Awesome game!!! Too bad they are wasting it on the "OK" Nintendo Wii.
I would actually argue that this year is comparable and some offerings are actually better.
Limbo is simply brilliant and one of the most artistically endowed and aesthetically pleasing games ever made.
Hydro Thunder: Hurricane is a gorgeous and faithful successor to a very much-loved arcade racer.
Castlevania is awesome; divergent, unique and offering a fresh spin on a very tried and true franchise.
Tomb Raider looks like a seriously fun time and an interesting take on the series. Also, while not technically part of the summer lineup, Deadliest Warrior is a cool little game reminiscent of Bushido Blade.
Also, Turtles in Time from last year was a huge letdown and S'plosion Man was actually pretty weak. Shadow Complex was certainly awesome and MVC2 was appreciated but merely a re-release of a ten-year-old arcade game. As for Trials, I enjoyed it but the game runs out of steam about midway and the difficulty becomes more luck-based than anything else.
Personally, I think this summer has been awesome. The only real wildcard is that Monday Night Combat game.
Grammaton-Cleric
I'll give ya Turtles in Time, that was pretty lame.
Trials I thought was brilliant. I got so many people addicted to that game, even non-gamers. Not luck based at all. I wasted more hours then I care to admit mastering it.
I bought Limbo and def liked it, but like I said it was very short and very easy. The look and feel of the game is really awesome though. Thought Braid was def more of a challenge.
Hydro Thunder got old for me in 5 minutes.
I am gonna check out the Castlevania demo. That looks pretty cool actually.
Tomb Raider, meh.
Monday Night Combat is def a wildcard.
Trials HD, Shadow Complex, MvC2, and Splosion Man are of much higher caliber then anything they are coming out with this year. Limbo was good fun while it lasted but was really short and very easy. Should have been 800 MS points. The rest of this summer's line up are all yawns. Oh well...maybe next summer.
