I can't remember there ever being an end of year with a plethora (fancy word for a f__king lot) of A1 videogames across all platforms titles and genres and when you consider some big ones that were also antcipated to come out later this year that have been pushed back till next year GTA4 and MGS4 anyone its its amazing that i have all these bag of goodies to choose from . Begining at the end september to the end of the year a slew of must have games for each system with an average of 8 to 9.5 have hit each respective system. XBOX360 and Halo 3 started it off with a huge media quake with aftershocks and lest not forget Bioshock and more. The PS3 , Heavenly sword , Warhawk and Ratchet and Clank tools of destruction and more . The Wii is the innovative little big man on campus with huge sales and A1 first party titles Zelda, Mario and Supersmash Brothers The already released and upcoming titles on multiple platforms from third party developers is a list of must haves if your a hardcore gamer or casual gamer , Guitar Hero 3 , Rock Band , Call of Duty 4 , Timeshift , Assasins Creed , Army of Two , Kane and lynch Dead Men and more . I foresee huge sales numbers for all systems as competition for our hard earned dollars ramps up for the christmas season .The PS3 has dropped in price and with more depth in their libary some upcoming exclusives (Haze , Drakes fortune and more to come)is a very good value that can push some numbers upward .The XBOX360 with Halo 3 still rumbling Mass Effect , great library of games and their system with two packed in games will also do well . Well the Wii I expect to continue with its strong sales for awhile . Makes me wish that i am a millionare with alot of free time on my hands to be able to purchase and play all these hopefully wonderous games that i haven't played yet maybe someday but alas until then i will enjoy that i have a good choice of games no matter what system i have for the foreseeable future .Gottagetemall .

Since the success of the Wii console we have been hearing alot about casual games and gamers and how the industry is now doing more or has not done enough to entice them by definition a casual gamer and hardcore gamer is: Casual gamers can conceivably consist of any people who show more than a passing interest in video games, therefore it is difficult to categorize them as a group. For this reason games which attempt to appeal to the casual player tend to strive for simple rules and ease of game play, the goal being to present a pick-up-and-play experience that people from any age group or skill level could enjoy .(courtesy wikipedia) Hardcore gamer is a term used to describe a type of video game player whose leisure time is largely devoted to playing or reading about video games. This type of gamer prefers to take significant time and practice on games, in contrast to a casual gamer. Many hardcore gamers pride themselves on mastering the rules or use of a game, although this is not a strict requirement.(courtesy of wikipedia) So my Question to everyone is what type of gamer are you? I consider myself to be generally hardcore the reasonI say generally is becauseI play mostlyrpgs sports and action adventure games and try to get everything but i dont kill myself over it but I will also play anything thats fun has good gameplay and is compelling .

With the advent of the so called next gen of gaming the pc, Xbox360, PS3 and Wii the technical know how of the average hard core gamer
is much more so than the average person In order for a gamer to get the most out of his system he or she has to consider the whole audio visual package and
also throw in a little bit of networking knowledge there as well lets deal with visuals first graphics resoulotion frames per second particle effects textures etc. etc. hdtv many diifernt brands and technical
jargon to understand 480i 480p 720p 1080i 1080p hdmi component inputs pixel resoloution fast response time of at least 8ms and many more i can say
Audio surround sound reciever, speakers coaxial or optical output input 5.1 ,7.1 , dts ,dolby digital, prologic 11 how to setup various configurations for optimal
listening pleasure and the list goes on and networking of ones system in order to access the internet can sometimes be straight forward or require some
research depending on your connection at home and configuration one can easily see that the average hardcore gamer can without much help manage/supervise his nieghbourhood
best buy or circuit city with the allround knowledge he has gained from his hobby. I being an IT ( information technology) technician have learned a
lot from my studies in my area of expertise but I have also learned alot from my beloved hobby So next time anyone says gaming is waste of time spit some
technical stuff at them and see if they have any idea what you are talking about or kindly offer some advice on setting up there hometheatre system and hdtv.
