Avatar: The Last Airbender vs Danny Phantom

There has been a lot of controversy of which is the "better" show. Of course, these debates take place on the forums; either on Avatar or DP, meaning that it is always lopsided. But I am here to speak the unbiased truth. I have watched my fair share of both shows. Avatar is simply a better show. Avatar is a series with developement, whereas Danny Phantom, the characters never develop. Therefore, there is no "Oh, I can't wait to see how much Danny has matured" or "I can't wait to see if Danny and Sam hook up" because, if they did, the show would suddenly become a series, and the TV stations would no longer be able to air episodes at random. Some people try to decide by how much action there is in a show. This is NO way to judge a show. It's all about 1) development, 2) cliffhangers, and 3) relationships. In Avatar, Aang has developed immensely, from being a frightened airbender to a powerful nearly-realized Avatar. While Danny stays as an adolecent child with ALL the SAME problems in EVER SINGLE EPISODE. Nothing changes in DP. It's bad guy comes along, danny fights him to some personal loss, then everyones happy in the end. But with Avatar, there's no telling where the story is going. Which brings me to 2) cliffhangers. Because Danny Phantom is not a series-style show, there is no real draw to watching the next episode besides that you may like the show. With Avatar, An episode can leave you shaking the TV screaming "WHY WHY WHY" while it calmly tells you that you'll have to wait til next time. 3) Relationships, in a sense, are just another part of Development. But Relationships are so important, I will give them a speel of their own. Relationships are a huge part of character development. In Danny Phantom, the most Danny and Sam get to is finding themselves in an embarrasingly sensual situation, which the solve by smiling at one another and blushing. CMON. In Avatar, there are plenty of kissing and straightout relationship development. Aang and Katara go from being fellow benders to student and teacher to close friends to a peck here and there to - well, we don't know yet. But that's part of the magic! We don't know yet because of the cliffhangers and the series-style. Therefore, my vote goes to Avatar: The Last Airbender over Danny Phantom.
