Why would they spend so many years with starcraft 2 in developing state if they were to remake it`s graphics and nth more ?

I don`t agree with the fanboi-ism and the lack of inovation concept , the truth is people are just afraid that games they like and play (even if they are old as hell ) will get destroyed by "inovations " and such on . For example diablo 3`s auto stat system which has angered lots of fans , they will never make a game that will be better than d2 so us the players prefer a reworked version of what we already love . Not a new dumb up to date with the current level of gaming that is on every platform version .

If you google real well you`ll find out that they hacked bnet for warcraft 3 , diablo 2 , (dunno bout starcraft but i`m pretty sure) so i`m bettin they`ll ruin blizzard`s dream about the no-piracy thingy . I for one in their place would go for the lan system in NWN 2 .

well i`d either give it to rise of the argonauts (i have seen better voice acting in low budget wannabe movies ) other than that it has as many RPG elements as resident evil 4 or any other game that allows u to slightly customize ur character.

Or the pure retardedness of the newly launched harry potter 6 which seems to have been thrown together into something looking like a game

I just wish there were more RPG games.

Ow , i wouldn`t blame pirating that much either . Aside from the PS3 every console can be modded :D

Clearly u didn`t understand that i am not arguing with you . Yes i didn`t play games from 80 - 90 .Afterall i was born in 88 but my point is that other then the fact that games work their complexity level is somewhat in the area of six feet under :(

OFC if u enjoy outstanding graphics , great physics and unchallenging games whatsoever then that is what you like and that is not the point of this thread .

don`t you just love how since the new dev-team (the one that made WoW ) arrived blizz seems to have lowered its standards ?I mean heck ... D3 will have autostat and health bubbles or whatever they call them ...

The old days of games were far superior. Gone are the days when you could just install a game and play it and enjoy it. Now when you purchase a game you may end up spending hours trying to get it to function with your hardware, Which has taken alot of the fun out of it for me. I don't want to spend time trying to get a piece of softare to work, or having to wait for patch after patch after patch for things that should have been fixed before it was released.With the advancements of hardware it has become increasingly difficult for developers to write a stable, functioning out of the box game. Also story lines have become boring and short. Developers nowdays can not hold a candle to the developers who were producing games in the late 80's and 90's. They have become lazy and unimaginative. Rehashing the same old game, no fresh ideas with the attitude that if it looks good it will sell. And selling after all is the bottom line. Pirates are not killing the gaming industry on PC's......It is the Hardware Manufacturers and Software developers themselves who are doing it with their shoddy work. I have been part of the computer industry since 1984 and have seen the changes and I am not impressed.

+1 to that . every new game that is being launched comes with the latest graphic card or sth like that as a request to run it in full capacity (well not that exagerated as i put it but almost :) )

First of all i want you to understand that i`m not starting beef with my next question .

pvtdonut54 you say that we can make games that the past never imagine , true u can make a tree look like a tree ... a rock fall like a rock ; a person move like an actual person but when u talk about content i see only biassed stuff (not in every game , there are some that are still ok now and then )

I would like to ask you what exactly are you expecting from let`s say : Diablo 3 , since blizzard announce that characters will be auto-stat (aka u and the rest of the individuals that have no ideea about distributing points will have the same toon at the same lvl , also Bye bye pve / pvp d2 builds)

And also about blaming consoles , ofc they are not to be fully blamed but they play their part well in degrading stuff:(

Ow and in accordance to homie i would like to add that alot of people (check bnet and garena ) still play games like warcraft 3 and diablo 2 which lets face it in terms of "new age improvements " are left behind by a longshot and they still kick ass
