It's been sometime now...I've yet to come across a great and well optimized game on the PC platform. I've tried Superbike 09, Velvet Assassin, PURE, Rainbow Six Vegas 1&2 and some other games...
Now I've realised that..Doesn't mean i have a high end rig for my PC, I'm free from bugs technically. And doesnt mean a high end pc will give u the best PC gaming Experience.
One instance..i do have a gaming mouse..but i've realiseed that some games like Hour Victory, is way too fast in turning..even though i've set the game's mouse sensitivity to 1..i still dont feel good with it...
Up to date..still there aren't many games which does actually support Mouse Button 4 & 5. I wonder why...i bought a gaming mouse to play games rite? and when i buy a game..i dont see how is the gaming mouse helping the game...The technology of Mouse 4 and 5 buttons are there on the PC..but Developers are not using it..it's never a must to use it..but the least they could do is to at least support it...
As the technology increases, PC should get better looking games..bigger level designs...extra Animations and physics and etc..We PC gamers buy a PC for few extra thousand dollars compared to a single console itself...and our hardware..is about 3 to 4 times better now on the PC compared to the consoles..
So the real question is..Why do we get the same quality game as the console besides the resolutions?
We have the same level designs..controls...and there are even games with no graphic options, and as for that case..what will happen to the users who dont have a high end PC? They may exceed the minimum requirements a little..but when there are no Graphic Options to be tweaked for a particualr game..how are they gonna get smooth framerates??
So i wonder...we paid so much for a PC to play games...but the result is...we will get the same game as what the console get..same graphics..same capabilities and gameplay experience..and whenever i played those games..i dont feel natural..sometimes i felt that the sensitivity and keyboard mapping are not right..so far this year...theres no great multiplatform game on a PC yet...
I wish the developers would give PC the advantages on games..they can do bigger games..better graphics on the PC..and more deeper gameplay as well...stop porting games from the consoles and start porting games from PC...or at least do a diffrent gameplay experience like what GRAW (Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter) did...
We dont want to play a game that is pushing the consoles to its limit on our PC..we want to play games that are making full use of PC hardwares and its own capabilities...which includes 7.1 surround..Directx10, EAX support..16:10 widescreen...Ageia Physx, Quad SLI, Quad Cores...support all these technologies and you will see the huge diffrence in PC gaming..
As for now..i will try my best to play these lazy port games..
But if one day PC gaming were to die..i really really hope i could get the same deeper gameplay experience on the consoles as i used to get on the PC back in those days..where games are deeper in gameplay..and graphics are improving each and every year...
Cuz from what i see in the latest trailer for modern warfare 2..the game just looks decent but not great..imagine if call of duty is still a PC exclusive like how it's used to be...Call of Duty 1 and Call Of Duty 2 shows the graphical difference.. But i dont see it in Call of Duty 4 and Modern Warfare 2...If there is..i'm sure it'll be mininal...
I wish all the other PC Gamers the very best of luck enduring these crap!!!
