@suicidesn0wman: here's a link to my store, but be prepared to be disappointed - it's almost empty right now except for a few Japanese playstation 1 games. But, maybe in a few weeks or months I'll have a chance to buy some stuff and get it going again.

link removed - oops!!

@suicidesn0wman: You could have some good points there, but as a medium high volume seller (feedback score of 26642) if I buy a game for $10 in a big lot of games, I would rather sell it for $30 today than $50 next month. I'm actually thinking of getting back into selling games - I had to take a real job to get health insurance for my wife - but I prefer to concentrate on cartridges. My favorite games to sell are Game Boy (GB, GBC, GBA) and DS - cheap shipping! I also love getting and selling N64 games, and turbografx 16's are fun games to work with. NES games have too few titles that sell for much money, and SNES games are hard to buy at a price you can make a profit on. Discs can be copied easily, so that's the downside of disc based games - only collectors are likely to pay high prices, people that just want to play them will try to get a burned copy. Can't do that with a cart.

The last time I sold a lot of game boy advance game manuals I had about 60 assorted manuals and put them up for auction on ebay starting at 99 cents and they ended up selling for $26 plus the $6 shipping that I charged on that auction.

@killered3: Amazon is a horrible place to try to buy any USED items, the site just doesn't support those sellers, they are geared toward the sale of new items and will not let you add information to listing like you can on ebay to let people know exactly what the condition of your item is - Amazon is more of a generic manufacturer description setup, you can't really adjust that even if you are selling the same item as a used item. Lots of games are listed at higher prices, but to see what they are actually selling at, you want to check ebay and sort by Buy It Now, and lowest price including shipping - the 2 or 3 lowest will be the actual market price.

Currently, I'm only playing PC games. The only consoles I have right now are about 5 gamecubes and a few PS1 consoles I have left over from my ebay selling days. If I were going to get back into consoles, first I would pick what games I would want to play among Saturn, Dreamcast or N64, then get one of those consoles. I loved Saturn but good games can be hard to find and expensive. Also, some of the final fantasy games for Game Boy Advance were pretty awesome if you want something portable. But, as a younger person, you are probably more interested in the modern games - give the old ones a try sometimes, you may be surprised how much better gameplay can be when the designers are not focused on making everything ultra realistic.

@Watch_My_6: Yes and no.

If you don't plan to keep them for an eternity then this is a terrible decision as video games lose their value once you get rid of the original casings. A cased copy of Supersmash. Bros Melee can go as far as 200 bucks and above. Without the case, it will go as low five dollars and below. It also depends on the condition of the cases.

As a longtime ebay used game seller, that seems a little extreme. Games of that rarity/popularity will usually go for more like $20 as disc only, and maybe as high as $30-50 with case and instructions, depending on how mint the disc is. $200 games are very rare, like Fire Emblem Path of Radiance in mint condition. Even games like Earthbound for SNES rarely sell for that much.

. Also Mario RPG: Legends of the Seven Stars...

I loved Mario RPG on snes, one of the few games I bothered to play all the way to the end. I think it's pretty under-rated. Paper Mario on N64 was almost as good.

But, the game I play most over and over is Uncharted Waters. I'm always looking for a space-based game that is as close as possible to UW.

I like to play open ended games like Uncharted Waters Online, but I always seem to get to a point where I think I could have done better, and start the whole thing over. Maybe one of these days I will get to what may be considered a finishing point...

I've played C&C Gold (95) off and on for the last few years and pretty much exhausted every option several times. I really like the game, but I think I'd like to try a new one in the series - any suggestions as to which would be the most similar, maybe slightly better graphics? I've tried Red Alert and it did not seem to really catch my attention, I guess the lack of tiberium made it seem too normal, and mostly I didn't like the look of it compared to C&C 95.

I don't really like super high res graphics - I loved Ultima 6 but I thought the graphics on Ultima 7 were way to realistic and overshadowed the actual gameplay.

On the other hand, I loved Uncharted Waters New Horizons, but the much improved graphics on Uncharted Waters Online is great - makes it hard to go back to New Horizons.

thanks in advance!
