Totally bummed! No touch screen, same resolution, no new tech specs.....Just an update to what we all already have. On the good side, I'm sure previous models will get a firmware update, and enjoy all the new functionallity as well....
Has anyone considered that the reason Sony is denying 'removing' the UMD drive from the PSP is that they are going to be adding a new version of it?
I like the idea of just downloading everything (provided they give us a hard-drive) but a next-gen PSP game could easily be 10 gigs right? So a small blu-ray(ish) version of the UMD would be able to hold plenty...then they also wouldn't upset the many UMD disc current owners...
I got the download, but then got a nasty 'blank out' screen during install....the whole thing froze up, and was stuck on.....After about 10 mintes I held the re-start button down for nearly a minute until it rebooted...
After reboot, I can finally access my windows media files!
Whew....good luck to everyone with this install...
I am nuts or don't I remember abunch of complaining back when the PS2 first came out about development issues? I know that the original PS was supposed to be a breeze to develop for (remember, every game used the same cheesy 3d engine) and then when the PS2 came out we read about the dev issues...
They obviously figured everything out for the PS2, I am sure when they unlock more of the PS3 cell's power we won't hear anything else about it..
Remember, it took sometimes 5 years before some consoles saw there best stuff....
