Honestly, I'm not upset that Tom gave this game an 8. I'm upset because he's trying so damn hard. Pretty much the entire first page I read of that review was him attempting to characterize and establish the setting on paper when Naughty Dog spent years creating this video game to do just that. He barely talked about multiplayer and game mechanics. I haven't seen the video review yet because I'm at work, but god dammit Tom. It's an apocalyptic game, we understand that it's not going to be all butterflies and rainbows.

Lose the prose, and get on with the praise/criticisms.
