This is one of the reason why I'm getting a Wii U next month to play Pikmin 3 only because I like the first one but I never got a chance to play the second one [due to School work] and if these sales really help out boosting the Wii U sales, then it's a safe bet that Wonderful 101 will do the same in September once release and looking forward to that new IP.
I'm not sure if they intended for XBOX1 to be able to do this or if it was retconned after they found out PS4 could do it. Thing is, considering most people wanna play wargames online with friends, I don't think downloadn'play is gonna be that big of a deal. Typically, you can only download content while playing singleplayer and in offline status.
I'm not sure the broadband internet is really up to handling the true power of these systems. FIOS and a few cable services are good enough but some services are horrible for online multiplayer.
I pay for Xbox Live becaus the online experience is so much better and I pay PS+ because they have the most free games and discount I like to buy and I don't fanboy on a console, I co-exist and I like both MS and Sony.
