ok so fallout3 and oblivion are action rpg's with a purpose.each is different from another.Fallout 3 is about your character being born in vault 101.like oblivion though,you can create your characters style,striengths and weaknesses.You start out as a baby.You name the baby whatever you want.You learn how to pick up items,throw items and learn skills.Then you turn 10,ur at ur birthday party and a snobby kid makes fun of u.Like oblivion,you choose what to say.You get a bb gun after wards.9 years l8tr,a man kills an important person,and you and your friend try to escape vault 101,you kill the friends father,the murderer, and a cop.After that you get out of vault 101 and explore the wasteland that was once washington DC.Instead of swords bows and steel armor,you collectn guns,and one of the best is the fatboy.So have fun killing mutant denizens and wild creatures.(p.s do not attack the giant robot)

Oblivion is about your character escaping a prison.but an emporer helps you escape,cause apparently,your in his dreams.which is wierd.You kill some gaurds at first and then u go in a cave.thats where u start your attacking tutorial.the first enemy is a rat.You attack it with the sword u find.then you attack it with long ranged wepons,aka,bows.Afterwards u get out and u find yet again some gaurds.Soon ,the emporer dies and you head into the sewers.Theres an opening in the sewers,u head outside and u start your adventures head-on.

Both games r made from bethsedia games.2k teamed up with bethsedia and made oblivion GOTY edition.Fallout3 came out with the collectors edition soon afterwards.But either way they are awesome games for anyone.
