Maybe we'll get new episodes soon with the High Life update.

I played my first game of Lords of Waterdeep with my girl last Friday on fun fungus and higher than giraffe fanny. Aside from Cards Against Humanity, it was easily the most fun card/tabletop/board game I think I've ever played. I played it again on Sunday and it was still fun moderately sober!

It's worth considering, @tempertress , that the minimum hourly wage in Australia is $16.88 USD, and the American state with the highest minimum wage is Washington, at $9.32 starting in 2014. That's a little over six hours of work to buy a game at those wages. However, most states' minimum wage is much closer to the federal level at $7.25. Sure, things cost more in Australia, but y'all seem to make a lot more, too.

You were delusional if you thought these weren't already projects at Valve. Just because Valve has an email contact group for Half-Life 3 or Left 4 Dead 3 doesn't mean they're actively working on them, let alone getting anywhere near completion. The logical progression would have them finishing Source Engine 2 before they actually rolled either of these games out, as they did with CS:S back in the day.

@macrules_640 They, Nordic under their former/publisher name JoWooD, only published the Gothic series after the first one, they didn't "make" it, per se.

@FinnishTeenager EA owns both Bioware and Maxis. You're creating a false dichotomy between developer and publisher here. This is not Paradox International publishing TaleWorlds' Mount & Blade, this is Paradox International publishing Paradox Development Studio's Europa Universalis. EA does publish and/or distribute other companies games--they're still the current retail distributor for Valve games, and they're the publisher for Crytek games. It's completely fair to complain about the influence of EA over companies they own.

You've taken the online-only single-player game aspect everyone loved from Diablo III, combined it with 101-DLC-Pack strategy of The Sims which everyone loves, and given it a name which everyone loves: SimCity. How could anyone not like this?

Guess it's time to break down and buy another old copy of SimCity4Deluxe and wait to see if Civitas gets its funding on Kickstarter.

For those too lazy to Google it: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1584821767/civitas-plan-develop-and-manage-the-city-of-your-d

The only way this is feasible is Steam allowing users to remove a game from their library and add it back to their inventory as a giftable object. The only real situation you end up with then people "reselling" their games for tradeable items, which isn't a real situation.

I've been doing this with sports titles since Madden 02. Every couple years I'll buy another version of the sports franchises (NFL, NBA, NCAAF, NCAAB) when I get a new console or when a substantially different version of the game is available (e.g. going from Madden 06 to 10, which I just bought a couple months ago). Why would I want to spend $60 a year for a roster update that I //should// be able to download through an online community?
