Repair Update

So, I recieved my third repair a couple of weeks ago. I had a 2 week training course for work I had to attend. This meant being put up in a hotel in a foreign town a few hours away. I guessed my best way to kill time (besides going out to a bar which can be expensive) was to bring my newly repaired 360. I should say that MS doesn't repair and send back the one you sent them. It's a totally different system. Anyways, the second night I was there, I decided to hook up my 360 to the 19 inch monitor I brought. You didn't think I would have tried to connect to a standard T.V., did you? That would have been a sin. After setting everthing up, I fired it up and put COD4 in. Finally I can try and finish this game with the 2 weeks I'll have. About one hour into playing, my screen froze up! So I got up and reset the 360. It came back on and I played for another ten minutes before it froze up again. Just as I got up to do a reset again, the dreaded 3 Rings of Death appeared. I was so mad. And this was just after 1 hour of playing. Couldn't Microsoft have turned on this machine for a while before they sent it out to me? Oh well, I guess COD4 will have to wait, again.:(

Dead 360

My 360 just died 2 months ago. This was a 360 from the Zero Hour Launch Party. It sure did last a long time. So I sent it in and received my new one 2 weeks ago. I say "new' because on the back, it had the date 11-17-07 printed on it. I was really stoked to see that they replaced my new one. Was it the smaller chip? Did it have a quiter DVD ROM? After firing it up, the drive sounded the same. Bummer. Didn't know about the chip but it didn't matter because last week it died! I'm awaiting my coffin as I write this. This sucks.
