The price of games these days is prohibitive to say the least. I have found myself on more than one occasion sitting in an electronics aisle or an electronics dealer wondering if I should buy the latest game, or if I should hold off a while until I can get a used copy? I am not cheap, I do not have a bad job either, I make enough to get by. It seems the older you get though the more you have to look after, I've got bills, and a daughter I would rather spend my money on. I am wondering how important is it to have the newest games? I wonder how many people out there really have to have a game the day it launches? I've only ever played one game the night it launched, that was Final Fantasy XII and that is only because my room mate bought a copy and had to work the next day. I find myself going back the last few weeks and playing everything from Jade Cocoon and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, to Secret of Mana and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. To be honest, I have had alot more fun playing these games than I have newer games. Recently I have played Call of Duty and Halo etc.. and none of these games have the same pull for me as the older ones. How do you feel about the costs, and would you rather play the latest or a solid older game?
