If you aren't already familiar with the brand new trailer for "Dead Island", it consists of a series of slow-motion reverse shots in which a loving family on vacation is being attacked and eventually separated from one another by an onslaught of zombies - including their innocent little daughter who eventually becomes a zombie and her father is forced to throw her out of a window when she starts attacking him.
Yeah.
The trailer is depressing, but artfully done and evokes a true emotion and despair that barely any games nowadays can generate. I was almost in tears.
As I said before, the original trailer is all in reverse, which makes for an interesting effect. But IGN just recently did a "recut" of the trailer, showing the entire trailer in chronological order instead of reverse. It's awesome, and here's the link:

Enjoy! I guarantee when the video is finshed playing, it'll take you a minute to realize that your jaw is still dropped.
Today was a great day for gaming!
A little while back I had brought in an old stereo receiver to a used record/music store. They offered me 30 dollars store credit, and since the thing was so old and I had no use for it, I took the credit.
Luckily enough for me, the store happened to have a small video game section in the corner! They had Uncharted 2 - The Game of The Year Edition, for 29 bucks, BRAND NEW! An amazing price! So I was able to pick that up along with a few used cds I'd been wanting.
After that, I dropped by Gamestop and paid off the rest of my Killzone 3: Helghast Edition reservation. Feels like a big weight off my shoulders now that it's finally all paid for.
After that purchase, I had a few ones left in my wallet, so I decided to go ahead and reserve Dragon Age II for their midnight release they're doing. Really pumped for that one! Dragon Age Origins was one of my favorite games that Bioware created, so I couldn't be more excited for the sequel.
That's it for today! Got some great stuff this afternoon. Just waiting patiently for Feb. 22nd...
This deeply saddens me. I cannot express or count how many hours of gametime I have put into games like PG3 and 4, and the Geometry Wars games. Two arcade racers that were unbelievabley fun and one of the best, if not THE best dual stick arcade shooter made up most of their career, but still. These were some outstanding games.
What's your take on Bizzare Creations closing down? Do you have any fond memories with their games? Let me know!
Hello everyone! It's been ages since I've ever thought about doing a post on this blog, but I've finally come with some legit news. I just started a new channel on youtube known as GamingObserver. If any of you at all could check it out, rate and subscribe even, I'd really appreciate it. I do unboxings, recent pick ups, collection videos, and I will be doing many, many more in the near future. I have a lot of ideas and I'm really excited to get out there in the YouTube gaming community.
Here's the link to my channel. Like I said, any contribution will be much appreciated.
Thanks! http://www.youtube.com/user/GamingObserver?feature=mhum
Hey guys, I'm looking for some more friends on GS. Feel free to track me whenever you view this profile, and I'll track you back.
So, I am totally pumped for the midnight release i'll be going to at wal mart, down the street from my house in less than SIX Days!
It's going to be amazing. I've been playing alot of skate. and oblivion to tide me over until the big day. also, I've been completing some homework assignments early (I know, shocker) so I don't have to worry about my grades when I get it at midnight. this way, I can just game a lot more and most of my homework that I even care about doing will already be done. SWEET.
yeah, so i need 700 more words for an english essay (i finished a little over half), and then I just have to study for two tests. Woo.
halo 3 here i come.
See you guys online!
I just finished a GS review on this game, and i must say it's gotta be one of my favorite 360 games to ever come out.
it's so immersive with it's great city and control scheme and all, and alot of the dialouge is very well written.
what a fun game.
if anyone wants to freeskate online, hit me up. i'm always down for that.
I bought Gears again today, as I traded it in a while back to buy some other game.
Anyway, I'm glad I have it again. The matches I played today seemed fair, and the people were actually really cool. And I played a lot tonight.
Is it true that maybe some of the idiots and glitchers have left the Gears community? I sure hope so.
Anyway, I'm pumped to watch the replays of the new Gears tournament they got here on GS. It's gonna be so rad.
Is one of the greatest movies of all time.
I saw it twice in one day a few days ago. And went back yesterday and saw it a third.
It's fantastic.
oh, and I also saw Halloween at midnight last night! What a great show! Rob zombie kicks ass.
I still want to see Balls of Fury, and definitely want to see Death Sentence. Hopefully those two will be good as well.
So many good movies....
