I have seen all of the excuses. The Wii has the most sales (but going by game to system ratio that is not saying much). The PS3 has this many exclusives. The Kinect sucks.
Sales are sales Cows. I understand that sales do not make a good system but I am a true believer that people buy quality 90% of the time. The 360 has been the number one selling console for 17 months in a row. Enough said.
Then we have XBOX Live. Since I have both systems I know that the difference between the 2 services (XBL and PSN) are minimal. But the extra's on the 360 are worth it especially if you game with friends. Also I think PS Plus is awesome. But the sheer number of XBLA games I just can't overlook. And it is something everyone else does. I have seen arguments like downloadable games do not count, they must not be good because they are not retail, and other nonsense. You wanna lose out on great games like Shadow Complex, Trials Evolution, and FEZ than so be it. It does not change the fact that games like Minecraft and the above mentioned games are better than 95% of every other exclusive game out there. It isn't an opinion. It is a fact. When every reviewer on Metacritic including fans say so........Let's just say it is hard to argue when everyone is on the same page. I also enjoy Joyride Turbo and Hydro Thunder Hurricane. They have good reviews but I also know they are not of the caliber as other games so I am not gonna throw them up in an argument. That is something Playstation fanboys love to do. Throw up exclusives! Does not matter how good they are or if they have even played them. It is dumb and makes no sense at all. More on that later.....But aside from Wipeout HD and Journey, PSN just does not have the caliber and number of great titles. As for the $60 a year? I don't know anyone who actually pays that. Microsoft has enough sales and surveys on Live to cut that price in half. Sometimes you even get free retail games or Downloadable games when we purchase a 3 month or a year service. It is not near as bad as Cows pretend it is.
Now we move on to another argument. The retail games. If you take anything such as sexual partners, cars, TV's.....You want great ones. You would rather have 1 or 2 great looking girlfriends instead of 6 or 7 so so ones. But for some reason....games are different? Oh hell no. It is the dumbest argument I have ever seen.
You see it everyday. 360 HAS NO GAMES!!!!! Well common sense would tell you a game machine that sales 67 million consoles must be getting used for that purpose. And in my opinion....and judging by review scores and sales <---sorry, the 360 has 3 games that are just way beyond what Sony can bring out and on par with Nintendo's big 3 (Mario, Metroid, and Zelda.) I am talking about Halo, Gears of War, and The under-appreciated Forza. That does not even include the spin offs like Halo Wars and Forza Horizon....which for the record is nothing at all like Forza 3 or 4. It has as much in common as Ridge Racer or Dirt. Of course you can never convince PS Fanboys it is different. Ignorance is bliss I suppose. Also Fable is a big Microsoft franchise and arguably their only other big one. They also have the Project Gotham games and Alan Wake games. 2 quality franchises.
There is also a hidden gem no one ever talks about and this is just a personal gem for me. It does not get hyped much but almost everyone I talk to about it loves it. That game is Kameo. The way Microsoft handles Rare and the Rare properties is the one mistake Microsoft made that I will never understand. But I wanted to mention it. Kameo in my opinion is a great game.
Now....The it is also on PC argument. I know Fable and Alan Wake have made their way to the PC. My answer is this.....If you hate the 360 and Microsoft so much then go spend $700 minimum on a PC and play them. Just remember I can go send about $150 on Ebay for a PS3 if I wanted to play PS3 exclusives. See the difference there? Microsoft is about making money just like Sony and Nintendo. If Microsoft wants to release their games on the Vita I do not care. If I get to play them than I am happy and it is all I care about.
Now we have the other games that PS3 owners are stuck without if they do not have a good computer with the necessary upgrades. And I know most of them don't. These games like Splinter Cell Conviction, The Left 4 Dead series, Tropico, The Witcher 2, Burnout Revenge, Mass Effect, NFS Most Wanted, Call of Duty 2, Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter, and Metro 2033 are console exclusive. I am tired of the argument that these games do not count. Hey? If they don't count than neither does the PS2 Collections, Little Big Planet, Modnation Racers, MLB The Show, and Even Gran Turismo. You know why? I have played the PSP versions of these games. For the most part they have the same tracks, levels, and the differences are minimal. Would you count Virtua Fighter 5 Online on the 360 as an exclusive when it has something the PS3 version doesn't and it is a big one (Online play!)? Probably not. Would you count Unreal Tournament 3 as an exclusive when the 360 had extra levels? Nope. If Mass Effect and Alan Wake are not console exclusive than neither is Mod Nation Racers or Gran Turismo. That is just the way it is.
Finally we have multiplatform games. These are actually the games that matter. In my opinion they are the best games out. Exclusives are just not the best games anymore. I am not sure why that is but it is the way I feel. For the most part the 360 always wins this battle and a lot of times it isn't even close. And more times than not it is the games that really matter. Red Dead Redemption, Batman Arkham City, and Skyrim are possibly the 3 biggest multiplats. And Red Dead and Skyrim are far superior on the 360. Batman AC has a big enough difference to where it was noticeable as soon as it started. Other important games like Mass Effect 2 and 3, The Dirt Series, EA Sports titles, Bayonetta, Crysis 2 and Call of Duty just perform better and look better on the 360. This is not an opinion. This gets proven on several websites like Lens of Truth. Even games that are considered Playstation franchises like Devil May Cry and Gran Theft Auto ended up being better on the 360! Probably the biggest defender was Rage. The 360 version was beautiful while the PS3 was a pop-up filled mess.
Very few people would argue that first party exclusives matter more to them than these multiplats. And I wanna play the best version possible. That will be an expensive PC. But for those who like consoles than the 360 is the choice for those who want the best experience.
Notice I have not mentioned anything about Kinect? Why? I am not a fan of it but Microsoft has did enough with their exclusives and XBLA to keep me happy. Like I said.....I prefer quality. But for the record Dance Central, Kinect Sports (The first one at least), Gunstringer and ever Adventures are good games. Actually Dance Central is great....moving on.
Now I am not saying I hate Nintendo or Sony. I like Nintendo but the Wii and it's 3rd party support was a joke. And the Wii U is not looking promising. Most Nintendo fans know this and are basically holding their breathe and hoping the Wii U will return Nintendo to glory. I just think it is too little to late and will get crushed by Microsoft and Sony's new efforts.
As for Sony. Yes they throw exclusives out left and right but are they good? Well. Disregarding those non excusives such as MLB, MNR, LBP, and Gran Turismo let's look and see. And trust me, You don't wanna count Gran Turismo anyway because Forza literally wipes the floor with it at this point.
Bottom line. If you wanna argue that the PS3 or Wii is better (I count PC as a seperate catagory at this point), then fine. Argue. But if you have to troll or bold face lie and state one dumb comment over and over again it just shows that you do not trust your own judement over your purchase.
inFamous is a great series. I also enjoy the Motostorm games but I could live without them and they are not the same quality as inFamous. Uncharted is though. Uncharted is great and easily the best exclusive Sony has. But it isn't because of the gameplay. It is the story. God of War 3 is the worst of the console versions but it is still great. Starhawk and Twisted Metal bombed. Twisted Metal feels ancient. Pretty sure that series is dead. Their shooters are all pretty good but they just can't compare to Halo. I have noticed the Playstation nation has quit calling Killzone a Halo killer. Those thoughts are long gone. Metal Gear is something I hate. But people really like it so I have to give Sony credit for it even though I would much rather play Splinter Cell or Deus Ex. Crap like Heavy Rain and White Knight Chronicles do not appeal to me. Ratchet and Clank is old and there is so many platformers on XBLA even if Ratchet and Clank was on the 360 no one would buy it.
The quality just isn't there. I am sorry but that is just the way it is. That is just how I see it and going by reviews and sales I am not alone.- Microsoft is a business. Your plasitc console or PC is not your mother or girlfriend. It is something to entertain you. Arguing which is better between Halo and Resistence is fine. But why make up stupid lies? Why g to metacrits and give the game a zero? Hell I bet a 1/3 or what is in the PS3 has a Microsoft logo on it. If Microsoft wants to release 360 games on a PC then let them. It is a smart move. It is still a Microsoft product and it should count as a Microsft exclusive. Look at Metro 2033. For a long time it was only a Windows game. PC gamers were making fun of the 360 version when Microsoft was making monet off of them getting it themselves! I support Microsoft. I think Halo, Gears, PGR, Forza, Gears, Alan Wake..... To my and my personal taste that is just quality titles that I want. I will take these over Nintendo and Sony both any day. I will argue but I will do it without trolling. You all should try it.
