Yo! I was thinkin' bout gettin myself a Wii in the future, but I can't decide what games to start off with. I've played the Wii a few times so I'm not to used to the controls.

My question, What would be a few good games to start off with? I wanted to get some opinions of gamers that have been playin the Wii for a while.

Also, I'd like to get a game thats fun with 2 player, so the wife can get into the action. She likes shooter games.

The most annoying achievements are the ones that don't register when you accomplish the goal.

My most resent example would be NCAA Football 2008: 1 to 6 star achievement. Took me a few weeks to get six stars and when I finally did it.....no achievement. :(

No I don't think XBL should be free. I usually swing buy Gamestop and pick up a 12+1 month card for 50 bucks about 1 month before my subscription ends. No biggie for me. Not to mention the prepaid cards make great Christmas/Birthday gifts. :)

Not sayin this is everyone. All my friends my age have jobs and don't mind the fee, but all my friends that are younger and in school still and have no jobs, want it to be free.

You can pick up FFXI for 20 bucks, play for one month for free and see if you like it. But you can't take it back or trade it in. Oh and it takes over 6 hours to install it to your HDD and it takes up 3 or 4GB.

I doubt they'll make FF for the 360. Although we are getting Infinite Undiscovery developed by Tri-Ace and published by Square Enix still TBA, The Last Remnant supposedly a new franchise to run along side the FF series also by Square Enix that could be out this Fall. Plus, we're gettin' Lost Odyssey by Mistwalker. Mistwalker was founded by the orginal creator of the FF series. Oh and Mistwalker is funded by Microsoft.

So we may not ever get FF, but the 360 is gettin some good substitutes. Might not be better than seeing FF on the 360 but it is better than nothin' at all. Considering more than half of the people with a 360 can't stand Eastern RPGs.

I believe FFXIII was built specifically for PS3, so doubt it will ever be ported over. Would be sweet though.

As for FFXI, people still play. A lot play using the 360.

I was on the world Alexander and my home was San d'Oria, if you pick that to start with you'll find plenty of people.

FFXI is very advanced MMO, very hard for MMO beginners.

Its an ok game, I like Guild Wars and WOW a lot better. If I never had friends that played it before me and showed me the ropes. I would of quit before my free one month was up. I ended up quiting after my second month. The game just becomes a chore after a while.
