No one is going to get the Internet solely to play Elder Scrolls. People already have the Internet and they use it to do a lot more than just play online. So you can't count that cost into the total cost to play Elder Scrolls online. If you're going to do that, you might as well as throw in the cost of the game system and make your estimate $1100.
Also, people who are interested in gaming online probably already have PSN+ of Live. And yeah it's $50 a year or whatever, but it pays for itself in the free games you get. This week I downloaded Hitman: Absolution, Saints Row III and Uncharted 3. So for $50 a year, I just saved $180 this week. I didn't even download all the games I could have had for free, just those three. So yeah, I'll happily pay $5 a month for $200 in free games a month.
So pretty much, your entire argument is full of fail. You would pay $180 a year (I did that simple math for you since you had to estimate) for the subscription fee. Not $668.
