Scopin' New Additions

I went to Port today and had I any spare money lord knows it would've been thrown down the drain to fuel my gaming habbits, but alas it had other places to go - places that'd help keep me fed and with roof overhead. And until they make a game system that can produce food from nothingness and provide some sort of shelter, tis a necessary evil.

But it didn't stop me from looking for potential candidates.
At Toy World, I was pleasantly suprised with their collection - for previous visits have turned up crap - it kind of bothers me that they have the Backyard Wrestling Games both for $100; regardless that they've been sitting there since we moved here, practically.
I want to try them, but reviews point out they ain't worth that kind of money and I can't rent them, so... PUT THE PRICE DOWN.

I saw the PS2 version of The Godfather. It was special edition.
I "Oooed" appropiately. I didn't even know there was one.
Alas, I've my heart set on the Xbox 360 version; so I'm waiting.
Though chances are they won't get the 360 special edition in, that'd be too much to ask.

They also had a new Driver game; paralell lines or some such. Also special edition. (Ooo again). I liked Driver 2 enough. I didn't play Driver 3 but I hear its.. Not great. Haven't heard much on this new one, but thus far I haven't really heard the kind of critisisms 3 got so might give it a shot later down the track.

Top Spin 2 was there also. Sports games are kind of a risk with me. I'll either really like them (Madden 06, Fight Night 3) or hate them (NBA 06, erm... yeah) - But uhh.. I don't know. It got decent reviews and it certainly looks okay, so long as it's essentially "pong" with people I'll have no problems right? :P I'll probably get it. There isn't exactly a huge selection of 360 games out so take what I can get.

Lastly but not least; Colleseum: Road To Freedom.
It got average reviews round the board it seems. But some of the user reviews give it decent enough praise and I generally trust my fellow people more then I do the reviewers.
Not to mention I just have a thing about Gladitorial Combat. Theres not nearly enough games set in that era and focused around such. And the whole what kinda sounds like a Monster Rancher element of training your gladiator and stuff appeals to me greatly also. It's fairly cheap, so if it does turn out crap it won't be a major loss and I can probably pimp it out at my brothers store, where he rents out the games I'm through with/hate and I rake in a small profit (eventually).
Sweeeet.

Fairly recently Condemned, Full Auto and Dead or Alive are consuming my time. I'm fairly determined to unlock and achieve everything possible in them.
Though I'ma hit brick walls in Dead Or Alive since I can't play online due to the non-updating, in Condemned I have difficulty spotting Dead Birds/Metal Bits and Full Auto I just plain suck, ha.
Not playing Oblivion so much as I'm peeved with it.
I was doing excellent in Oblivion. As far as achivements go I only had to do the Fighters Guild quests and I'm through with that.. BUT that was before we got Xbox Live.
When we did, they made a new profile for it as opposed to just sticking it on my first one. I wish I could've supervised this and made sure my achievements would go noticed but alas I wasn't there. And so I'm pretty much playing Oblivion all through again.
Same goes with Fight Night and Full Auto.
The others I was fortunate not to have until after the sign up fiasco, so they're clean. But with Full Auto, Fight Night and Oblivion I'll be doing everything I can twice, for the sake of completion. I almost dread it.

Anyway, raved on abit. Sorrys bout that.
Catch yas.
