I am probably showing my age, but I have this thing happen where I get mental glimpses of gameplay and cannot remember what friggin game it was.....

It becomes troubling when it was a good game and I'd perhaps like to play again, but no matter how hard I try, I cannot remember the game titles.

After (35) years of gameplay and hundreds of FPS battles, I feel like a war vet suffering from flashbacks...... Yikes!

Any of you "seasoned" gamers experience this?

BLOOD WAS AN AWESOME PC GAME AND WOULD MAKE AN EXCELLENT CONSOLE TITLE. THAT GAME CREEPED ME OUT WITH THE DARK CHANTING AND INCREDIBLE SOUND.

WTF? Why do SFP use MOD to discuss MMO or FSP, like anyone knows WTF they are talking about? The IMP is not a BFD is the OUP is KYP........ Know what I mean?

What is it with these game sites and magazines pushing games that won't be out for years??? Can we stop hearing and reading headlines like, FIRST LOOK or FIRST IMPRESSIONS? How about the dreaded HANDS-ON mantra or the SCREENSHOTS teasers? Remember games like DARK SECTOR which were lauded at gamers a year B4 the 360 was even released? I mean come on......

This type of hype building makes me want to yak! Yea, I know.... that's how they make money, but I thought I had already paid for my mag subscription and these sites are already loaded with computer grabbing video clips that won't let you proceed till they've made you watch their advertisements or banners so enough of this garbage!

I watched the video and checked out all the screen shots for the "new" Halo and it looks (once again) like a tweaked version which was copied (once again) from the origional game template. I mean it looks like the origional or even.... worse? Needless to say, I was less than impressed.

If the "new" Halo arrives without online co-op (which utilizes the entire games maps instead of the ridiculous arena frag stupidity) I will not be waiting in line at the game store at midnight this time!

Halo 2 stunk because of it's half done story line and the over used cartoon cut scenes which did more to suffocate the gameplay rather than advance the plot, not to mention the games abrupt (to put it mildly) ending. If I wanted to sacrifice game length for cartoon movies, I'd rent a dvd. And it also suffered due to the missing online co-op.

Bungie surely hit a home run with the first game. I have well over 1000 hours on that game. But the second game I played through once and never played it again.... it was that big of a dissapointment.

The more than excellent games such as Clancy's blockbusters have turned up the heat on Bungie. If Bungie expects to reclaim the title of industry best, they had better rethink releasing a half done, carbon copy of the origional game which is ........ old.

A note to Bungie: No excuse laden DVD this time PLEASE!
