I have a feeling this game was completely rushed to market. For one thing, they brought back a lot of old songs, which, okay, it's not the biggest issue, but they kept in the original animations and just made the videos prettier, and it's definitely noticeable. The animation in the newer songs is clearly better than the returning songs. It's very odd looking as the prettier graphics don't suit the limited animations. Also, this might just be me, but I feel like the songs they brought back are generally small in scale, so that it's easier to recreate the environments faster. I'm not sure if I'm overanalyzing, but I do recall songs with much more scale that were more worthy of bringing back than some of their choices, and it makes me wonder if they chose inferior songs simply to make it easier for them. This is, of course, my opinion, and I'm probably just looking too deep into it, and it definitely could be that the songs they chose were the ones they truly thought should be brought back, and they just happened to have lesser scale. Anyway, another reason why I think it was rushed is that I've encountered reoccurring issues with the touch screen, whether it be that it won't respond to the big star notes that require 2 swipes at once on the touch screen, or that it just refuses to respond at all. These both required me to completely reboot the system. I don't think it's my Vita, because it's never happened before this and it has only happened while playing. I feel that a lot of this could- and should- have been ironed out before release. I also feel that there is not a lot of new content in the game. They introduced skins- which are utterly pointless cosmetic changes that only get in the way of playing a song- and star notes that are joined together with lines. These are totally unnecessary and don't really make sense- it's not like you have to follow the lines with your finger or anything, I just swipe like any other note and it works. All these really do is change the tempo of the song's notes and give you no warning signs before doing so, which can be quite cheap, especially when going for perfect runs. TL;DR: I feel that the game could have used a little work before release, and that it doesn't really have anything we haven't seen in past games that are worth buying this one. I don't think this makes it a bad game- I'm enjoying it immensely- but it still kind of bothers me. Does anyone agree, or am I looking into this way too deeply?

So, I've been playing this game and pretty much loving it. I consider it Rare's last great game. However, upon getting to the Sulfur Cavern in Snowtop Village, a HUGELY flawed mechanic comes into play. All it wants me to do is roll an explosive egg over to a rock before it explodes in a reasonable amount of time. Sounds pretty simple, right? That's when the shit kicks in. You see, Kameo and all of her transformations have very physics based controls, unlike Zelda. This means that it takes a bit to build up momentum before running and she has to slow down for a second before stopping. This game mechanic does not go hand in hand at ALL with these controls. If I don't run towards the egg at JUST the right moment, Kameo will miss the egg and have to take a second to stop, then build the momentum to turn around, and try again. Keep in mind that while this happens, the egg is on a strict time limit to explode. This is a TERRIBLE design choice. Why the hell would you put something like this in a game based on physics? I have a feeling that the people at Rare in 2005 must have been inexperienced at game design. I highly doubt something like this would appear in any AAA Nintendo release. This game obviously needed more polish than it received, which is sad, because it had the potential to be amazing. Rant over.

Did anyone else notice that in the 16-bit RPG styled DIVA Room, There is text that says "THANK YOU MIKU, BUT OUR DIVA IS IN ANOTHER STAGE." On the wall? Just a neat little reference to Super Mario Bros.

Nevermind I fixed it by turning the calibration to 0 and switching the Tv's settings to having "Game Mode" on.

Hi. I just imported the game, and after figuring out how to callibrate the button lag, none of the callibrations work. I tired -2, and it was ALMOST there, but not quite, so I thought I was on to something, so I went to -3, and it was the same, and I kept trying all the numbers, even some posotive ones, and they were all either WAY off or almost there. Can someone help?

Why hasn't anyone fixed this problem yet? I had the same problem excluding the graphics card message. It's pissing me off because I LOVE this game and I had so much fun playing it for the first time yesterday. SOMEONE PLEASE FIND A SOLUTION!
