First off, last Activision game I bought, Guitar Hero III. Not for any reason in particular, but just because most of the games they release don't appeal to me (and no Despite a previous blog, I never bought Call of Duty 4). So Ghostbusters was on its marry way to come out in October, and Brutal Legend later this year (if not early next), and now they ditch the titles.
This probably seems smart to them, stick with the demographic they already have, the bargain shelf dwellers, that can't wait for Spyro and crash to hit them. Yes Vivendi, keep making those games for the kids that save up their $1 a week allowance, or trade in their abused petz games to get a second hand bargain copy of. From what I understand Gamestops turn over new titles that don't sell to used games as well, and thats where these Spyro and Crash games are headed ALREADY.
So Activision Vivendi, you were probably about to tap into another demographic that would have completely embraced your new titles. Tough luck for me and you I guess.
Games I'm looking foward to the next couple months BESIDES Ghostbusters....
Madden 09, Rock Band 2, Spore, Skate 2....oh wait...Those are all published by EA....hmmmmm.....
