The batteries ARE replacable. It's funny because nobody bothers reading the manual.

And Yahoo's been known for anti PS3 bias, so I'm not surprised.

hmm... watched the review and it didnt look that fun... might give it a go because of the score it got, but for now its not a priority...

Yeah that's what I thought when I first bought it, but when I got it 2 months ago, I wished I got it on day one lol.

WHAAAA!!!!? You are keeping a 40GB fat PS3 and selling a more efficient, more reliable, slimmer 120GB PS3??!?!?!?!?!?!?!???????!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!111

GeneralHawx

Slim PS3 have not been proven they are failure resistant you have to wait 2-3 years to see what happens to the console

I agree, people are judging the reliability of the Slim way too early. It hasn't even been out for half a year...

Thanks! The deal started today and goes till Dec 12 I think. But when I went there, they were already out of stock with the TV I wanted (still got it, but they had to order it for me), and there were 3 other people behind me in line with the same deal in hand :P They sure are selling well.

@the people wanting it for $200, sorry I already have some1 offering $250.

The one you get back from SONY is (usually) refurbished, but your call.

newhighscore

Well, if I manage to sell it for $275, then it will only cost me about $50 to get a new slim (with tax), and that's pretty much just the cost of the DS3 it comes with :P but, if it doesn't break, then I'm stuck with an unused slim lol.

they make great xmas gifts ;) but seriously, what size bravia did u get? lcd or plasma? and how do the sync functions work?

side note: my 40 gig didnt last long and i dont game much. the 40 gig has the highest rate of blu ray drive failure. might not be a bad idea to keep it round. could be a really expensive and stylish paperweight in the meantime.

It's a 46" Sony Bravia KDR-46V5100. 1080p and 120hz LCD, with all of the extras, for $950. I also got $20 for having a Best Buy rewards card, plus another $20 in rewards for using a discover card, and if I sell the PS3 for $275, it'll be a total of $635 for a 46" TV, Uncharted 2, and a new Blu-Ray movie. A hellava deal if you ask me. Also, if you're reffering to the Dutch article that said 40% of the 40gig's have a hard drive failure, that wasn't true... And I think it's funny how consoles have become so unreliable these days. Either that, or people are exaggerating the PS3 failure rates.

Dude if you haven't opened it, return it to best buy for a full 300 bucks.

But if you can't return it, use eBay. Brand new PS3 Slims are going for about $295 on there right now.

I know this, because I am an eBay powerseller and I sell systems and games for a lot of money on the side.

rawr_xd
eBay sounds like a good idea but I got a few questions. How much do they charge for the listing once you sell it? Who takes care of the S&H? Should I do an auction or Buy it Now?

Wow, I thought you would be a person saying that it sucks and such. Try Ebay? If you haven't opened it, sell it at 299. :P

Jbller3

PS3 and "Sucks" don't go together :P I doubt it will go for $299, but $275 sounds reasonable.

Don't sell it; because if your FAT YLODs you will be sorry.

samuraiguns

Well, it's a 40GB, so it probably won't YLOD, plus $275>$150 :D

I just got a Sony Bravia from Best Buy, and it came with a free PS3/Game/Movie. The only thing is, I already have a PS3 fat, much sexier by the way :P, so I want to sell the slim. I'm planning on putting it on craigslist. How much should I try to sell it for? Also, do you know anyother good online listings that I could put it on?
