Are you criticizing the GameSpot users? TROLL! /sarcasmIt seems like nothing has changed since my absence from the boards. I mean we still have people accusing people of being trolls without proof & people fighting amongst themselves. (Sigh) Where are the ol days when these threads were original, there were few fights & topics actually made sense?

Two words: Twisted Metal
NES/famicom brought 3D gaming not ps1 and n64...JavieralijandroMy bad, I'll take that out.
it will die if developers will continue to focus more on overpriced day one DLC and online multiplayer while single player will suffer from short campaign and bad storyline, I like online multiplayer but I like awesome single player experience morejohnlennon28I think that games like Fallout, MGS4, Uncharted 2, Bioshock, and God of War show that it's not all about online play and dlc.
Hopefully :)Virtual reality maybe?

If it is all motion sensing crap then no thank you.GrandJuryI doubt it. If anything can be learned from the Wii, it's that motion control can't replace a regular controller. I think controllers will be like the DS3, with (more precise) motion sensing capability in a regular shaped controller,.
You'll be fine with that speed. I have got .67/.31 and I play online without any lag. As far as the ISP average goes, I think we can blame Europe for that :P With the slim it's too early to tell if the reliability will be good, but the fat had great reliability, and the Yod wasn't common. The slim seems to run cool, so I wouldn't be too worried about it.Ok so my results are 1.27mb/s (download)
upload 0.27 mb/s
ping is 125ms
and my result is a little less then half ofISP averge.
I've also heard about yellow light of death? Should I be worried?

30 years ago, games had very little plot and were 2D. Controllers also didn't have analog sticks. 15 years ago, the PS1 and N64 brought analog sticks, triggers, and rumble to the table. Storylines were alot more deep, with MGS1 as an example. 15 years later, we have games that are some times hard to distinguish from real life (see GT5). Controllers are now wireless, and the motion control is gaining popularity. Games have also increased greatly in size and length, and storylines can be the driving force of a game. How do you think video gaming will be 15 years from now?
I honestly can't see a new console NOT launching by late 2011. That would be 6 years after this one started. I could see Microsoft launching a new Xbox, while still supporting the 360 with Natal, in the same way Sony still supports the PS2. Why not?Couth_Why not? With the economy the way it is, and the amount of money that the companies are losing, I would be surprised if they did release a new console in 2011. Off-topic: The only thing I'm looking forward to at the next E3 is the announcement of the next Twisted Metal.
