I hope to hear where Jeff will go next. I would follow him anywhere in a second, and so would my GS subscription dollars. Either way this is sad news. If anybody hears what Jeff is up to next, we will have to let each other know. I can only hope that he hears about this thread and feels the suppourt we are all offering him. Jeff, contact 1up!

[QUOTE="TellMeIBeenBad"]

This question has probably been asked before, but I don't feel like looking through 65 pages to find it. I've been looking at hdtvs for this fall, and I was wondering: 1080p capable hdtvs are insanely expensive. However, I've found a number of really nice tvs that can show everything else (480p, 720p, 1080i). My question is: Is 1080p really that amazing? For example, if I had two tvs of the same size, showing the same thing, 1 at 720p or 1080i, and 1 at 1080p, would I be like, "WOW!! This 1080p makes this 720p/1080i look like SH!T!!!!"? Basically what I'm asking is the image quality difference extremely significant? To help with the answer, I'm not a hardcore tv connoisseur, I just want a solid tv that will make my ps3 games/tv look really nice. Thanks!

from what I have read, unless your tv is over 40 inches, you wont notice a difference between 720p and 1080p. however, the tv that I recently got for $1000 has 1080p. http://www.samsung.com/Products/TV/LCDTV/LNS2651DXXAA.asp?page=Specifications

Just so you know, that tv doesnt display 1080p. It has a resolution of 1366x768, while a 1080p display would have 1920x1080 pixels. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-cnDFdAw1VTF/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=146350&I=305LNS2651
