Im embaressed to say, I bought this game the day I bought my first IBM 486 dx 2 computer.. Starship Adventure...WORST game made EVER! That was also the day I decided to read PC Gamer for reviews before I buy games.
Well, the Baldur's Gate Series is close to a turn based RPG, basiclly hit the space bar to pause and then issue commands and space bar to unpause. Awesome RGP game, one of the best made. A little old but Black Isle did some great work on it. Neverwinter nights plays somewhat like it it, but it just doesnt capture the feeling or game play of Baldur's gate. But if you want true turn based....you have to go back a few years, Star Trails, is a true turn based, and major RPG you'll find. Very indepth character creations, but bad graphics, even then. Or get The new Bards Tale game, has the 3 old Bards tale games included, turn based and still fun to play.
