Online for future?
Over the past year or so the gaming market has really changed in a big way...but is it for the better?
Online gaming has been around a few years now but most recently titles such as call of duty 4,halo 3 and unreal tournement 3 has really made me think, what does the future hold for gamers.Call of duty 4 as an example is a really great game but how many of us just wish the one player side of things was a little longer?dev's these days have two different divisions for games like this, one for offline and one for online.
Ok so it's seems to just be infecting the fps market but with xbl allready a very established online community and psn,wii catching up fast it make's you think not "if" but "when" more and more genre's try and break the online market.rpgs have been doing it for years with huge sucess and with the community and revenuesuch titles as wow bring in it make's you think why more and more mmo title's are not hitting the shelfs.
Most probably becuase not everyone has internet access and a pc,but with online being more a necessity rather than a luxury these days and growing xbox, wii and ps3 sales all with there own online capabilitys just what does the future hold for us gamers?
Will in years to come the one player solo games be a thing of rariety or does the industry realise that we all need our solo gaming fix!!!!
Well that's just my thoughts..comments welcome:P
