Wow Oblivion, say goodbye to your social life...

Anyway, answers...

  1. The quest is very open-ended, so you can complete the main quest and still go back and do everything else. The difficulty of the enemies that you encounter changes depending on your level, so the game is always at a fair difficulty level. You can pretty much go through all of the guilds in any pattern that you want to, the games well designed in that respect.
  2. The Oblivion gates are repetitive, the only reason to beat them is for the treasure you may find. There are around 50 (i think) dotted around Cyrodiil, but you don't need to beat them all, but for levelling up purposes they do come in useful.

I've recently been playing my Xbox 360 Elite through my monitor connected with the VGA cable. Now, when I try to plug the console back in to my TV with HDMI, the picture does not display at all. The 360 seems to be running, despite no picture, and as far as I can tell it's responding to input through the controller, even though it never used to power up without the TV being switched on/the right channel selected.

Is there a way to make the console auto-configure it's display settings on boot-up? The PS3 has a similar feature if you hold down the power button when you turn it on. I've tried going through the display settings whilst still on VGA to see if I could st it to HDMI manually, but the settings only show VGA screen resolutions and nothing else.

Any help would be appreciated, the Microsoft knowledge base has proved typically useful...

I have tried the multiplayer awhile ago. It wasn't that good. It was tacked on and very laggy. Maybe a patch fixed that though, I am not sure. :)

Hmm, not surprised I didn't think I missed out on too much...

I'm currently playing the original game on PS2, and while the game is enjoyable and atmospheric, I wouldn't call it scary (the poor voice acting is far too distracting), but I'd like to see if the sequel is better in this respect.

Get the original if you can, it is far better than the remake.bigboss00

In what way is it better? The fact that you can't see what you're doing? Yeah, I suppose you're right...

The game was pretty rubbish to be honest, just another cynical Tetris clone that loads of developers seemed to be churning out at the time (Nintendo included). I had the Game Boy version, but I can't imagine there's much to choose between them. If you want a game like this, go for Tetris Attack on the SNES (re-released on the N64 as Pokemon Puzzle League), it's loads better. Or you could just get Tetris...

Yeah that would make an awesome GH4 song, or maybe Bodom After Midnight? They would have to make the keyboard solo into a guitar part though, that was the best bit.
