Top 20 games of the generation.

This were my favorite games in the generation that's just ending, a few games are still coming out that I could consider in the top 20 (Castlevania Lords of shadows 2 and Dark souls 2) but I'm going to go ahead and put on my favorite experiences now anyways.

Mass Effect Trilogy

This is a bit of cheating, but the experience was meant to be played this way, with choices and a galaxy full of stories and possibilities, this is by far my favorite gaming series and it debuted this gen.

Fallout 3

There is something about Fallout 3 that got me, the atmosphere, the cross between futuristic and the 50's the game had an impressive rythm and a lot of personality.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Deus Ex Human Revolution was my first approach to the series, and I instantly got into it, the gameplay, settings and characters, gave me some of the finest and purest gaming moments this gen.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Is it wrong that after seeing anything about fantasy I go and play skyrim with a new character, to try and approach what I saw? Skyrim allowed me to live in my own fantasy adventures and is quite immersive.

Assassin's Creed II

AC II, gave me one of the best protagonists this gen, Ezio was every bit likable and one could actually feel attached to his growth as a man and an assassin.

Far Cry 3

FC3, caught me of guard, I expected a somewhat mediocre game, instead I got one of the most interesting, intense and complete experiences, with an incredible arsenal and deep exploration.

Red Dead Redemption

I could never imagine I could get that much fun and into a cowboy tale, but RDR is every bit amazing, and tried to imagine how could an outlaw life could be in the Wild West.

The pinnacle of th series for my taste, it had a great cast, good missions, a great multiplayer and solid cooperative.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Out of the most recent Zelda games Twilight Princess is the one that feels the most like a Ocarina of Time sequel, the game has a good story and a lot of inventive dungeons.

The game feels like a true Batman adventure from beginning to end, with some of the most recognizable antagonist, and a brilliant gameplay and atmosphere.

Borderlands

A nice mix of FPS, RPG and Loot, Borderlands creates a truly unique experience, with tons of weapons and enemy variants, and a nice touch of humor.

Edwards journey while not perfect, brings the joy of being a pirate and explore the seas, the game is made to really find stuff to do all the time, and feel the bold life of a pirate.

Blacklist, brought back the great stealth of the series, the game also included more flexibility and some intense sequences.
