Fallout 3! Toasty

So I've come to the realization that I can't afford to not be a hermit during this next semester of Uni, here I am stuck in bonny 'ol Scotland, and coming home in 4 days time, I am already pre-ordered for PotBS, and I still haven't gotten MOH:A, CoD 4, CrySis, or any of the myriad of other wicked good games that are coming out, not to mention all the time I have to put into getting my PC back up to snuff, I think I am going to take a semester off from Uni so I can catch up with the gaming.

I thinK the thing that I am most looking forward to is the whole Fallout 3 phenomenon, I think I pretty much went nuts over the last screenshot pack they put out, and the concept art is like, to die for. also, the rumer that a fallout MMO is in the works kind of makes me go "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH" but whatever. as you can most likely see, fallout is pretty much my game of choice for life, I started with that as my first serious game, all the others were the things like pong on the primary school Macs... whatever, but seriously, a Fallout universe MMO would make me very, very, happy.

oh man, 8 days 'til liftoff

well, it's 8 days until my trip to scotland and i fear that my uuber leet skills will be aversely affected during my 4 month foray into the great european unknown. CoD2 runs on my lappy, but the mouse issue is terrible, and my AoE III skills will obviously be affected due to my inability to play for 2 hours a day. oh my, this summer was a good training session, but now i fear it will all be for naught.... yeah, that's enough... see you on the flip side...

Too many Titles, so little time...

Has anyone else noticed that a ton of new game titles are actually looking good right now? it's not like usual with a bunch of crappy ones and one or two good ones that you end up getting, right now it's a choice between like, 8 freeking titles that are pretty-much must have. and i don't even have a console, i'm sitting with only PC and i'm still having a hard time choosing, i couldn't imagine if i were a multi-platform user... jeez, yall have it rough. oh, and the choice to not go console is getting harder than ever. the fact that i didn't renew my subby to PCGamer makes it so i don't get good bathroom reading material to remind me why PCGaming is leet sauce, i'm stuck in Target electronics selling consoles and games to the masses and seeing myself miss out... eh, hopefully Vista will get some new games, cause i don't wanna reformat my lappy, and my desktop needs some major upgrades for Crysis...

thats my 2 cents for this afternoon, check yall...

Oh man, I'm addicted once more...

So, i promised myself that i wouldn't buy any games until i got back from school this semester, but i was walking through target two nights ago and found myself staring at the PC games section of electronics. and, as always happens when i stare too long at games, i found myself purchasing Civilization IV. and oh my, i am addicted to the series again. Sid, you are an evil, evil man. when civ III came out, i played for days straight, trying to beat it, this also happened when i found Civ II back in the day. now that there are wicked 3D graphics and some really intuitive micromanagement options, i find myself lacking sleep, as in, not going to sleep at all... yep, they have created a monster, a Civilization monster... and it haunts me. if you play rts and need a game that will take days to win one game, try it, it's pretty much like a swiss cake roll ... yeah...

And now, for something completly different

personally i think that the two actors originally from british comedy shows, and also appearing in small big-screen roles as the leads in Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, are the two most intelligent and funny comedians of our age. robin williams may have (most of) the title for the last generation, but these two witty brits have definately got something. it's a mix between monty python and die hard movies. witty humor and explosive or otherwise gory death and mayhem...

ok, i think it's time for a rest now, but yeah, i had to get that off my chest, someone must understand that hot fuzz was pretty much the best comedy this summer

but 300 still wins, overall. cause it's leet. and spartans kick major patootie...

fo sho

reading and it's effect on my life. or, why i hate the color purple

Assalaam aleykum

So, this evening whilst i was perusing my documents pertaining to my upcoming semester-long trip to Scotland, i discovered, to my dismay, a sheet of paper that i had never read before. seeing this, i immediatly sped through it hoping there was nothing i had forgotten to do. of course, there was.

as i reached the end of said document, which was the color purple by the way, i found a emboldened text almost shouting at me from off the page "ALL OVERSEAS STUDENTS should go to the registrar's office during the spring '07 semester to register for your fall overseas experiance." as those words flew through my mind, panic struck, and i began my furious and exhausting trek through the domains of cyberspace to find out what the hell i could do about it, as it was less than 3 weeks before my departure.

at this moment i am sitting in my chair, quite literaly perspiring with anxiousness, knowing that if it were impossible to finish this registrations process in time, i would be remaining here, in the states, rather than having an adventure overseas. that, and as it is too late to register for anything but remedial pottery 099 at university, i would be spending my semester without health care or insurance, as both require a that i be a full-time student.

woe to those who do not read everything they can get their hands on, please, learn from my mistakes. these stated reasons are why i currently hate the color purple, and why reading is such a huge influence on my life, as well as the fact that the local liabrarians all know me on sight and by my first name, and the fact that i have multiple bookshelves full of texts from accross the globe. and i read constantly. but other than that, reading is huge.

seriously now, i'm freeking out and this is the only way i thought to vent, thanks to whoever listens and reads this, wish me luck

Wa-aleykum Salaam
