We must begin somewhere...Ah! Here is good.

Thanks to the Steam winter sale, Amazon Prime, and my lack of self-control I now have a vast catalog of games that need to be played. These range from AAA hits such as Batman: Arkham City and Deus Ex: Human Revolution to indie titles such as Rock of Ages and Gemini Rue. In addition I have finally purchased a PS3, so I have Demon's Souls and Gran Turismo 5 sitting on the shelf waiting to see action, with Killzone 3 and Resistance 3 on the way. I clearly have a lot of gaming ahead of me, and I don't even feel that I'm done with Skyrim or Dead Island yet, which have amassed a combined total of 140 hours played between them. And there's always my obsessive pursuit of Steam achievements in Killing Floor (currently 126 of 176) which siphons hours of my free time from other, less needy, games. More free hours are what's required here, which leads me to.. Tomorrow is MLK day, and since I'm off, I'm going to jump in to a new title. I'm thinking it will be Arkham City, because I loved Arkham Asylum enough for two playthroughs and I'm ready for more. I know I'm going to enjoy it. I bought this game at release and have kept it in my back pocket for when I get bored of everything else I'm playing and feel the need for an ace, but it's going on two months now, and that's a bit ridiculous, so the time has come. Here's the complete list of games I now own but have not even touched (or just barely): Alpha Protocol (PC) Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (PC) Batman: Arkham City (PC) Beyond Good & Evil HD (XBOX 360) Blocks That Matter (PC) Cave Story+ (PC) The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (PC) Cryostasis (PC) Cthulhu Saves the World (PC) Darksiders (PC) Demon's Souls (PS3) Deus Ex: Human Revolution (PC) Dragon Age II (PC) E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy (PC) F.E.A.R. 2 (PC) Fallout: New Vegas (PC) Far Cry 2 (PC) Gemini Rue (PC) Gran Turismo 5 (PS3) Hard Reset (PC) Heavy Rain (PS3) Homefront (PC) Killzone 3 (PS3) L.A. Noire (PC) On the Rain-slick Precipice of Darkness 1&2 (PC) NightSky (PC) Resistance 3 (PS3) Rock of Ages (PC) Shank (PC) Singularity (PC) Splinter Cell: Conviction (PC) Total War: Shogun 2 (PC) TRAUMA (PC) Trine 2 (XBOX 360) Will I really get to them all? Will I play them each for more than an hour? I'm notoriously bad at not finishing games, and in fact it was my New Year's resolution to get better at this. There are even more games on my wishlist which I may not be able to stop myself from purchasing, so I'm not sure if I'll ever get around to all these, but hey, at least I know I have a library of games I've already paid for when I feel like picking something else up as a change of pace. So, any other gamers out there find themselves in this sort of predicament? Any recommendations for what games on this list I should absolutely play ASAP?
