From what I have read so far, Vista seems hugely overated and offers very little advantage over XP. I watched a documentary about its development last week and all MS could claim was that Vista has chess and you no longer have to press 'Start' to close down. Personally, I have never found that too traumatic... MS has taken the time since its launch until now to get XP right so it is going to be around for a while and I would be very, very surprised if in a year or so that nobody has found a way of porting DX10 into XP...
