i cant believe it, i actually cant believe it. at first i thoght it was a dream, like seriously the time has finally come, i finally have oblivion. you're probably wondering why im even bothering to do this and why im not playing it right now, well its because i didnt go to bed last night because i played all though the night and im considering this to be my break. for those of you who have not yet purchased the game yet, you have no idea what you're missing out on, you're either very unfortunate not to own a copy, or you're unbelievable dumb not to go out and buy it. if you played morrowind you should know the potetial of the storyline and the thoughts behind it, unfortunately they weren't shown well in morrowind with its awful loading times, and its "what-the-hell-do-i-do" layout.
also the absolute worst thing in morrowind was whenever you attacked the enemy, you only hit them 1 in 10 attacks, very badly designed, in fact everything that was wrong with morrowind, oblivion has fixed, and more, much more.
an example of this would be my friend stephen, he doesn't even really like adventure games, but he bought oblivion coz there aren't many xbox360 games out yet and he wanted something new, and since he bought it he's mainly just played in the arena, and he isnt far off being the highest rank in it. so this proves there is something for everyone in this game.
i myself love the magic side of it, ive already learnt a good number of spells, and ive joined the mages guild and im now the third rank, the magic system has been greatly improved since morrowind, not only more spells, or what they do, but even the look of them when cast has become amazing, and the enchanted weapons add to the fun.
the game may be more "dead-set" in terms of the storyline, as it has been designed to attract gamers who aren't into spending hours on end wandering about the world trying to find out whats going on, in ways this is bad as the game is slightly less "open" but considering how open it is compared to other games, its hard to notice that much a difference.
so far i havent played a lot of oblivion, considering how much im going to play it in total. so for those of you that do have it, i hope you can have at least half as much fun playing this game as me, and if you do then this will be your number 1 game for a long long time.
