Insecurity about Xbox One is the reason Microsoft has been doing 180s. In other words, Microsoft must truly believe Xbox One cannot compete with the PS4 on price and graphics (Cloud will fail to live up to expectations). Originally, Microsoft thought that Xbox One can easily compete with the PS4 with DRM, lack of Indie support, and a higher price. Not anymore, not after realizing the PS4 is so significantly more powerful and still cheaper. In addition, Microsoft NEEDS Kinect to be bundled with Xbox One. Without Kinect Xbox One's hardware weaknesses will become even more obvious. So folks, don't even dream about Xbox One without Kinect. Thus, all the 180s are proofs that multi-platform games will run and look better on the PS4.

1) Rise of the Japanese developers. The PS3's difficult hardware, 1 year late start, and the increasingly expensive yen all combine hurt the Japanese PS3 developers. These drawbacks disappear with the PS4 generation. Expect Japanese developers to come back strong in terms of technical display and commercial success of their games. 2) PS4 exclusives AND multiplats will look and fun better than their counterparts on Xbox One. Developers do not want to spent the necessary time optimizing their games to PS3 due to its difficult hardware design. Furthermore, multiplatform developers do not want to alienate the higher install base of Xbox 360 so they would rather optimize their games for Xbox 360 over the PS3. During the PS4 generation, developers will find the PS4 more powerful and easier to develop for than Xbox 360 while the PS4's install base will also be greater. Thus, expect PS4 games to look and run better than Xbox One games. 3)PS4 will have more games than Xbox One--in terms of big budget exclusives and indie games. The reasons: Sony has more first party developers. The PS3 vs 360 exclusives prove it. Also, Japanese developers and European developers will fave the PS3 over Xbox 360 as well due to a much higher install base there. US developers are not likely to have preference for either Xbox One or the PS4. Thus, overall, more developers will make more games on the PS4 than Xbox one. 4) PS4 will have a higher install base in 2013, and Xbox One will never catch up. If you look at this year's E3, you will see that more PS3 games run on actual PS3 development kits while Xbox One games generally use PCs instead of actual Xbox One dev kits. This means that the PS4 hardware is more ready for launch. This also explains why Gamestop and other stores currently have more PS4 consoles than Xbox Ones for pre-order. All of this means that PS4 will have a higher install base right out of the gate. The initial higher install base and the fact that PS4 is $100 cheaper than Xbox One means that new gamers will more likely chose PS4 over Xbox 360 because more of their friends will have already own PS4 instead of Xbox One. 5) Xbox fans will think that Dragonbtock stinks.
