Hmm, I've finally started to focus on PS2 games, so again forgive me for being so late on these things. Finally decided to get my hands on GoW II. I definately wasn't disappointed, that's for sure. This sequel definately delivered on that epic feel. It's fun to see Kratos mess up almost every story in Greek mythology. The game itself wasn't that difficult, but some of the design schemes within were very frustrating, namely some of the puzzles, like the Flame Wall one (I was ready to drown puppies...and believe me, my dog was laying right beside me when this was going on. For an action/adventure to last me three days is pretty remarkable, so it was pretty lengthy (or maybe it was just the dozens of times I died cruelly on those puzzles). Most satisfying are the death scenes, absolute carnage that completely sates the bloodlust inyour inner Spartan. Moving on to the story, ....a revenge plot that isn't bad! *Gasp* Anyway, my only complaint was killing Athena, I mean, it didn't help that she is my favorite character from Greek mythology. (Plus, as far as I can remember, I don't believe Athena liked Zeus very much, so...) Right, so that's the only problem I had with it. That, and sometimes the fights seemed too spaced apart. But aside from that, it was a fantastic game with an awesome (!!) cliffhanger. Looking forward to III.
