YES! Independence Day(ID) was not a good movie and did hold well over time, and ID2 is the same mediocrity. All flash and no substance.

I love the John Wick movie so, I guess all hope is not lost.

SF storyline in general is quite corny and superficial. Having that said it would be interesting to see the characters' background and personality more flashed out. Just don't come with the old bs, and end up sacrificing the gameplay over glorified content. Fighting games live and prevail by the actual gameplay mechanics.
