To those who own both: L4D or Killing Floor?

I have heard great things about L4D from friends who play it on 360 and have been looking to check it out. However I am also a big fan of Tripwire Interactive and what they did with Red Orchestra. I really loved that game and was a very dedicated player. Now I find out their "Game 2" is also a co-op survival horror game which is getting solid reviews and will most likely have some good mod/map support. What sucks is I can only afford one right now.

I really like the realistic gun play that TW brings and the perks sound nice as well. I know that with L4D I will have no problems finding people to play with at anytime. However I also know L4D2 will be out later this year.

If you could only buy 1 today which would you get and why?

Speak for yourself on 1080i vs 720p. You bring up 480 progressive scan versus 576 interlaced where progressive is definitely better. It always will be at the same or near the same resolution. However this isn't the same comparison when dealing with 1920x1080 interlaced versus 1080x720 progressive. They are very close but if you're tv is over 42" 1080i may be the way you want to go. I have a Mitsubishi 48" and it is definitely preferable to go with 1080i.

As for the topic question; Your tv should have a manual which states the supported resolutions. Have you checked the manufacture website? How about by the inputs on the tv?

Do yourself a favor, and never use online picture comparisons as a way to prove something is superior/inferior. Its the internet. someone could favor one platform over the other and use different ways of capturing pictures. One could be at 1080p, and one at 720p, or one could be HD, and one SD,or one could be with a high end cam, and one with a phone cam. you don't know. Best way to do it is to compare high quality vids, or have both versions in front of your face. They both look identical. These stupid comparisons need to stop.

It's nice to see an intelligent person on these boards who uses common sense.

Oh, and by the way, If ANYONE had any faith left in EGM as a magazine, this should just about kill any remaining afterthoughts!

Good Taste! For the most part, the console games you mentioned have been covered (and in some cases pictured) in this topic already... The C64 games and Amiga games, while they definitely do bring back memories, I'm trying to keep this particular topic to things that would likely be released on Wii's Virtual Console!

I'd LOVE to play a FallOut game again; I just doubt it's going to be on a Nintendo Console! :D

Yeah since there were 26 pages I just went with what I could think of off the top of my head and have now been skimming through the other posts. WOW, what a trip down memory lane. I could now add many more to my list that I had forgotten. This is a great topic.

I would like to add that I hope we get Castlevania 2 Simon's Quest for VC. IMO it is the best in series by far before the DS. I didn't mention it before though because I thought it was a classic and wouldn't be considered a sleeper.

You're almost certainly right about Fallout on VC. It's a shame though because it would play great with the Wiimote!
