It's 5/9/2012 at 11:23am and I'm also getting the error, I have tweeted @AskPlaystation and I suggest everyone else with the same issue also contacts them via twitter, the more they get the more chance we have of them fixing it sooner rather than later, esp when it affects some people and not others.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but just to verify this.

I don't have UPNP on my router(time warner carrier with thompson actel router) as an option, so I've forwarded the ports, port triggered the ports and tried DMZ, none of which change my NAT type from 3 to 2.

Are you saying if I simply leave my ps3 on a static ip address and use DMZ then it doesnt matter if my NAT is 3, my chat options will work?

Thank you in advance if this is the case as I've spent hours trying to fix this problem.
