Does it work well? I was able to find a driver to be able to map the buttons, but I also read that there might be the possibility of actually using it wirelessly through bluetooth. Either way, I'm thinking it's got to be better than my current usb controller.

I just got my PS3 last Monday and blu-ray was the main reason. I have owned a Wii for a little over a year now and the last console I owned before that was a Sega Genesis. With the Wii, I've been able to accumulate around 200 gamecube and wii games, so I've got plenty to keep me busy for a while. Don't get me wrong though, I just bought a new 46" full hdtv with a sweet surround system for my new apartment & high definition games are a huge plus, but PS3 games are expensive so I'll be much more discerning when choosing which games to buy. For now, I've just been playing GT5P & a few demos that I've downloaded........ I don't own any blu-ray movies yet.

I just got a PS3 a few days ago & registered my account today to the Playstation Network. I'm an American living in France and although I do speak French fairly well, I like to play my games & do my internet browsing on English speaking sites. I was going to register my country/region as France, but Sony only allows you to choose French as the language so I chose United Kingdom instead. I was just wondering if anyone else has done this and if there would be any problem. Next to State/Province, I put France, so my whole address is listed in case they actual need a physical address although I don't see why they would since I'd only be buying downloadable content.

I habitually go to bed around 4 in the morning so put me into the late night category. Thanks!

That's good to hear. I'm kind of amazed that I was able to get a laptop that could run some of the newer games at such a low price. My girlfriend's father got an Acer Aspire a couple of weeks ago with a 320GB harddrive, as opposed to my 160GB... It is 2.0 Ghz and mine is only 1.7Ghz, but I think I have the better graphics card. He has a Radeon of some kind I believe. Anyway, for less than half the price, I think I did pretty good. I plan on buying a G5 mouse for gaming and an external hardrive to store all my music on, but then I'll be all set.

I am still running windows xp on my desktop with 2gigs of ram on a NVIDIA 7950GT. I can run Crysis fairly well, but of course not at full. I made a bit of an impulse buy yesterday because I received 525 Euros in gift cards at the local mall for Christmas. I found what I think was a good deal on a new laptop for 700 Euros after doing a little research online. I bought a Fujitsu-Siemens AMILO XA 2528. I didn't buy the laptop exclusively for playing games, but I have a bunch of games that I haven't gotten around to playing yet that I'm wondering if will run at full or close to full graphics/resolution. I've already downloaded Half Life I & II from my Steam account and was happy to see that I can run Half Life II very well. I'm wondering if Rainbow Six Vegas or Call of Duty 4, which I haven't started yet, will work well on it. I have a pretty laid back job, so it would be cool if I could get away with playing some of the newer games in my spare time at work. here are the specs on the laptop:

X86 based pc

Nvidia Geforce 8600M GS 256 MB ram resolution:1440x900

Realtek High definition Audio

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor TK-53 2GB ram memory on Windows Vista Family Edition (French)

Is it possible to run COD4 on this or should I stick to older games? Any tweaks I could do to get better performance?

I'll mostly just be using the laptop for surfing the web, hecking e-mails, writing, messaging, etc... but light gaming is an added bonus.

I just got a Wii yesterday and I'm interested in getting some Gamecube games for it. I am an American living in France and I prefer playing my games in English. The 3 Wii games I have so far can be played in either French or English, but I noticed at the store today that the Gamecube game I was interested in didn't have anything on the cover saying whether it was multilingual or not. I basically just want to know whether or not the Gamecube games sold in France are in both English and French. If they are only in French, I'll just order them online from the UK or another European country.

I have bought from Play.com (UK) & the prices on Ebay.fr are very good, but any other recommendations would be appreciated.
