@DrYuya: Thank you for missing the point. The score deserves to be docked due to the low amount of content, but that itself does not make a game worth playing. The core gameplay needs to be exceptional above anything else, because you can at least build a foundation around that, whereas no amount of content would be able to save a game with inherently bad gameplay.

@gamersince78: The review didn't give the game a pass though. He specifically docked the score down due to the lack of content, or did you decide to not catch that in the review? You're acting as if the issue was glossed over entirely when it has been addressed here and just about every major outlet that reviewed the title. So if they note that, but find the core gameplay to be excellent, which again, is the most important aspect to any game, then how is the score not fair game? You're acting as if it's receiving 9s and 10s across the board when that was been very far from the case.

@gamersince78: So basically, you're mad because reviewers value the core gameplay, as in the aspect that matters most, over the lack of content that Capcom informed people of WEEKS prior to launch.

Pair this over the fact that you're criticizing a review for a game you haven't experienced first-hand, and you're just making yourself look nothing short of foolish.

Certainly a controversal justice within reason, but whether you agreed with his viewpoints or not, to be sincerely joyous over his death demonstrates some extremely poor character. But of course, I expect nothing else from a group of gamers, who usually carry perspectives at the same level of a solitary confinement cell.

I don't know about this. Quiet was an excellent companion. I remember one of the first times I used her, she killed a guard who was half a second away from alerting everyone in the area. At that moment, I knew she was a keeper, and it makes losing her all the more devastating from both a gameplay and narrative perspective. Patching her back in kind of nullifies those moments. Also, having to replay Cloaked in Silence seven times to get her back is just dumb.

@Bayonetta2013 I liked The Walking Dead a lot, but whatever it did for gaming is strictly through a narrative standpoint, and it did that at the cost of being extremely shallow. No doubt that I would like to see its storytelling implemented into other games. But the bigger accomplishment lies in successfully fusing that narrative with exceptional gameplay, and gameplay always trumps story when it comes to making a great game truly great. That's where Spelunky succeeds with flying colors. Spelunky is a game on the opposite spectrum. What it lacks in story it makes up for exceptionally in gameplay. It takes a relatively simple design and injects it with a ton of depth, inspiring the player to play unconventionally, making for a constantly rewarding experience. There's so much more to the game than meets the eye, and that's why I comfortably place it above The Walking Dead.

@Bayonetta2013 What Spelunky does for platformers is incredible enough to place it over TWD, and yes I've played both.

Unsurprising. The demo showed that there isn't a single redeemable quality in the game. A complete waste of time.

Yes, let's leave the endings as they are. I mean who cares if they don't make any sense? Who cares if they were riddled with plot holes and canon violations? Who cares if they were immensely unsatisfying? Who cares if all the choices you made in all three games were for nothing? Ms. Parker, I'd hate to insult your intelligence, so stop acting so stupid. While I understand where you're coming from, not for a second does it apply in this case.
