I've been passionate about video games since my Dad showed me the old Atari with a 5 inch floppy disk system that contained countless games (many of which he programmed by looking at code in magazines) when I was 4 or 5. I started with Donkey Kong, Pacman, River Raid, and many others I wish I could name.
My life was changed when I played Super Mario Bros. for the first time. My sister (Lisa) and I saved every penny we could until we had about 20 dollars and my parents agreed to pay for the rest of the Nintendo Entertainment System. That console changed me from a simple outside loving athletic child, to an artistic, critical thinking nerd. Since then, many innovations have sparked that same ambition as Super Mario Bros. did back in the day.
Growing up was tough, and I often felt alone for being passionate about video games throughout my life. At one point, I was laughed at for saying that I want to make video games for a living when I grow up.
As a student of Software Engineering, I had the opportunity to make a few simple polished video games. Watch this video showing what I've had the time to make in the last few years (thanks to teaming up with great friends): http://youtu.be/ys0fvwda75A
Video games are a huge part of my life, and experiencing new things is what really keeps me going. I spent 5 solid years in Las Vegas as a musician chasing the artistic dream, but I have settled back on programming for a living - because I want to provide for a family some day.
It is likely that I will have to settle and do the job that pays the bills. Still, I will always be thinking of video games and the experiences I would love to create.
Thanks for reading my profile. I hope you will see more games that inspire you to feel like a child again :)
