@sandstorm1: No problem man. I honestly hope you get it and enjoy it. I think it is a really good game and it is always nice to hear about people making the decision to dive in after being on the fence.

I would ask you why you play multiplayer games. I think that if you could answer that question you may be able to discover the reason you go through the trouble.
This is just a pontification but I would bet it is the social aspect of gaming that you are willing to give multiplayer games a shot for.
You may do yourself more service if you are really great at single player games to produce youtube videos or stream to touch on a similar social engagement you may get from playing multiplayer games. Even though streaming and producing videos can be a little of a pain it is rewarding once you start to get a group of people around you who watch your videos and engage with you.
@with_teeth26: My mind was racing trying to think of a game and then I saw this and was like, man... DUH! Great call. This got some recent updates I have heard and there are still quite a few people who still play so it may even be safe to say that at this point it is better than it was when it was released.
The thing I always struggled with was being permanently stuck in winter. I always wished that they would find a way to bring seasons into the game even though I knew that was a little unrealistic for me to want.
I have heard a lot of people saying that they have been on the fence about Star Wars Battlefront 2 and people like you who did dive in anyways.
Even though it did get a lot of ridicule during launch the game is a lot of fun if you can get past the card system and appreciate it for what it is the game itself is actually a lot of fun.
There were a lot of complaints about how it was going to be a pay to win game and even though that may be true in some aspects the game is still primarily skill based.
As a cheap alternative, I would see if you could rent it from somewhere locally and give it a shot or watch some streams or videos.
I have personally sunk a lot of hours into it and have not stopped enjoying the game.
I had watched a couple videos with no HUD on them for SWBF2 and wanted to give it a shot. At first I was a little hesitant being that I was going to be putting myself at a pretty big disadvantage to the other players in the match but honestly, I had a lot of fun.
The cool thing was even though I did die a bit and ended up only placing mid-scoreboard I was so distracted by how beautiful the game engine is.
I have since done one more No HUD video on Crait as well but I am thinking about doing some more.
Generally, as of late I have been posting SWBF2 content daily for both Galactic Assault and Strike.

The thing I find to be most difficult is having a place to post content you create from games like youtube, twitch, or any of the other reputable video hosting sits out there.
I was happy to see that Gamespot has a dedicated are just for this.
