Its an Msi, but this problem seems to be happening accross all makes and models. Also. even though it wont activate the drivers or let me install new ones even in safe mode, GPU-z can read all the specs just fine. It just cant give me any clock speed details. It does however, give me the temperature and the fan speed.

Hello. I recently replaced a gtx 260 with a gtx 470. Once i installed it, windows performance slowed to a crawl. it took 15 minutes to boot up and everything is slow. It will not recognize the drivers or let me install new ones. I put it in another system and everything worked fine. i also reloaded my old card and nothing went wrong. I have had 2gtx 260s in sli on the same system and psu, so that can't be it. I also RMA'd the card twice only to find nothing had changed with the new ones. I looked around for answers, but the only thing I could find was that AVG might be the problem (It wasn't for me) and something on the folding forumabout memory mapping. I dont even know what that means. Has anyone else had this issue? thank you.

hi. i recently purchased a 9800 gx2 to go with my other one for the purpose of folding at home. first thing i did after installing the second card was go into safemode, uninstall then reinstall the drivers. upon reboot, everything is normal until it gets to the welcome screen. when it gets there it just goes dark. i thought this might be a power supply problem, but how much power does it take to boot a computer up? i am using vista 32 with a 600 watt 36 amp psu. thank you.

I have an 8800 gt. for about 3 weeks, i used the folding@ home gpu2 client with the 177 drivers (acutually, all of them). but after that, i started having massive BSOD problems and had to revert back to 175.19. so now, if i want to continue folding, my only choice is to upgrade cards. i was thinking about the regular gtx260. However, i was wondering how many ns/day this thing could do (i find ppd does not acurately measure performance). my 8800gt constantly changes to numbers ranging from 360 to 420. thank you.

Memtest86 might clear it up. Might be defective ram.Helbrec

thanks, but i can't even get the chance to use it because it won't get to the desktop before the screen appears and i don't have another computer to test the ram on.

hi. i have a vista pc with a q6600, an 8800 gt. i recently upgraded 3.2 gigs of 667mhz ram to 4 gigs of 800mhz. i was having this problem for a little while, but now it happens evry time right before windows reaches the desktop. i get a blue screen that says windows has been shut down. i have received many different error messages including:

bad pool caller

video scheduler has encountered a fatal error

driver irql not less or equal

memory management

pfn list corrupt

a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval.

can anybody shed some light on this? is there a fix? i already filled out a report with corsair, but they are no help. oh, and i also do not have access to the origonal ram. thank you.

Hi. I am about to upgrade my ram but i have a question first. my stock mobo, which i still have, came with pc 5200 ram. i was going to upgrade to pc 6400, but i am sure if it will work. are the only parameters the type of ram (ddr2, ddr3), or does clockspeed come into affect (i assume clockspeed is the only difference between the two)? Thank you
