This is closer to true BC than the PS4 solution. Never-mind the other awesomeness functions that it will perform. Durango.... Used games - check , BC - check, Illumiroom - check, Kinect 2.0 - check, Kick ass games - check, Media Hub - check PS3.5 (4?).... Used games - check , BC - sort of a check, Illumiroom - NA, Kinect 2.0 - NA, Move - NA, Kick ass games - maybe, Media Hub - NA Durango/PS3.5 Hardware (on par........) :)
Never-mind SimCity. We're talking about Xbox. You won't need a connection to play any single player game. Nothing has changed (now, if a connection is present, then the always-on updates/marketing kick in). I promise.
Xbox won't block used games. Always-on solves a problem and doesn't add to it. It will allow for better targeted marketing, a way for us to see what genres are kicking most butt and which games have most DLC (targeting! targeting!) ; which in term translates to greater profits for Microsoft without having to implement a used games block. It also allows the system to always be up-to-date. It also means better games for you and more of the games you like, so do yourself a favor and stop complaining. Also, always-on won't require a constant connection to play single player games; if a connection is present, the system will be always on and up to date in terms of updates and marketing!
