First Review Katekyo Hitman Reborn

Sorry once a Kagain my fans. This is the review that was supposed to put up last week. I gave my reasons for the delay and I'm not going to dwell on it anymore. Without further ado, here's the review:

Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

So we all know that loser kid in school. The one who gets bad grades, isn't good at sports and is the social outcast. That pretty much sums up Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada. The loser of his school who's got the crush on a girl he thinks he doesn't have a chance with.

Tsuna's grades are so bad that his mother hires a home tutor for him from a flyer she finds. To Tsuna's suprise, his new home tutor is actually a baby named Reborn.:|

Not only is Reborn a baby, but he's also the greatest hitman in the mafia. :o And it gets better. He's there to train Tsuna to become the next boss of the Vongola Family, the greatest crime family in the mafia.

In order to train Tsuna, Reborn shoots Tsuna with the specially made Vongola bullet called the Dying Will Bullet. When shot with the bullet, the person comes backs to life to accomplish any regrets they had when dying. When shot the person will jump out of their clothes (still in their underwear you perverts) and run around in a blind rage until they accomplish whatever they were regretting when they died.

In addition to Tsuna and Reborn, the series includes a wide variety of random characters. For example, Tsuna's two best friends Gokureda and Yamaoto. Gokureda is Tsuna's self-proclaimed right hand man. He was a member of the mafia before hand and came to Japan to help Tsuna to become the next boss of the Vongola family. He's arsenal consists of sticks of dynamite that he hides on his body.

Yamamoto is a student obsessed with baseball. He fights with Tsuna and Reborn while at the same time, thinking that everything involved in the mafia is just a kids game he's playing with Reborn. Throughout the entire series he never really realizes that Reborn is actually a mafia member.

These are just a couple of the weird characters. There's plenty of more funny individuals to keep you entertained. The first part of the series is the introductions. In fact, these introductions last over sixty chapters. It takes a long time before the story gets rolling.

But at the same time the introductions are necessary. They give Tsuna motivation to fight in the major battles in the later chapters.

The series has an average length. About 212 chapters with new ones coming out every week and an anime adaptation that's reached over 100 episodes.

This series is incredibly amusing. The first part is a lot like American cartoons, a random story with every new chapter. But eventually the stories start getting more serious when the major story arcs begin. If you're patient enough to read through the first sixty or so chapters then you should really enjoy the series.

I give Katekyo Hitman Reborn a 5 out of 5.
