It looks good for sure, but will it run smooth?

station124

Why not check the 720p killzone gameplay vids (on Gamersyde) and see for yourself it runs a smooth 30fps. No dips.

GeoW isn't grey, its dark blue. And Killzone 2 looks like GRAW converted to a greyscale:

*snippity snip*

Look, it KZ2!!!111

Tingle-Tuner

That...doesn't look like Killzone 2, by the way.

Yeah, I know. I could've done better... maybe CoD3 or something...

You could've done A LOT better. Last attempt was made of FAIL. How about you post an actual killzone 2 picture to make a point, and try to make it a bit bigger than the Wii-resolution of your last pic.

I'll be waiting

I love all the hate this game gets. Bitter tears are yummy!

superjim42

yes i agree with you. the plain simple fact is lemmings cannot accept that this game looks so good. they bashed the game ever since the infamous e32005 trailer and although the game has come remarkably close to the trailer in terms of visuals they still continue to bash it because simple fact is, there is no other game on the xbox360 which comes close to this in visuals.

its fanboy logic - bash a game with superior graphics which doesnt appear on you console of choice

Exactly, bitter tears :)

All the "it's grey/ has no colors", "it's a sequel to a 6.9 game", "cg trailer looked better". It's all jealousy ... and i love it. And they keep on going. All you need to do is show 'm a video or some screenshots and it's pages upon pages of damage-control.

All i need is some popcorn really ...it's quite the show!

- Little Big Planet

- Metal Gear Solid 4

- Metal Gear Online

- Socom Confrontation

- WipeOut HD

- Resistance 2

- Motorstorm 2

- Haze (lulz - dont have much confidence in this one)

- Siren Blood Curse

Im sure there's more (edit: see previous posts) but that's a great line-up for 2008. And into 2009 titles like GT5, FFXIII (vs), Killzone2, GOW3, ICO game etc.

Looks like 2008 AND 2009 are gonna be the years of playstation

Replays and garage mode look good. But why don't take the next step and do what most people don't wanna do. That is post screenshots of you actually in game racing in 3rd person. Because the gameplay graphics looks a few steps down from replay and garage mode. Also, camera shots make games look better than they should. Wish you could take actual screenshot then post.

Ramadear

And while offscreen shots are slightly better looking, screengrabs like you see on GS, IGN and the likes are more often than not way more ugly than they look on a HDTV, or are bullshots. These shots are closer to what you'll actually see on your screen. Provided you have a good, calibrated tv ofcourse.

Finally let me just add that the replays only apply postprocessing effects, and different angles; it does [in no way] magically triple the polygons in the cars - lulz. So your point about the replay is actually moot in that regard. And feel free to post your offscreen shots of Grid, during race, or replay - or better, BOTH.

Im anxious to see how Grid pukes all over GT5p.

And with the right TV setup it PUKES all over GT5P graphics.Freaky_Friday00

Sure:roll:

Polyphony should just retire. The amount of fail displayed by them this gen is unbearable, as the images above clearly show. FAIL!!!!

Not unexpected. I am sure it will be a great game, but I have a hard time believing any of the "Official" magazine reviews...just seems more than a little biased to me.SpruceCaboose

Well, they gave Resistance a 7/10, lower than both GS and IGN. I wont be surprised to see some high 9s and some 10s from the more mainstream gamesites. Kojima doesn't dissapoint.

I pretty much agree with most you said.Truly unbias is an utopia, so lets just make that clear and move on, we're all guilty of it but some more than others obviously.I'd say this is closer to unbias than it is towards beeing biased, especially seen from a pc gamer's perspective. So again, couple of points i disagree on (mgs4 port, ps3 + games prices differ in Europe) but good post.Dont listen to all the sensitive fanboys.
