I am a proud owner of Xbox Series X. I prepaid for this game, which was over 70 bucks after taxes. After 3+ hours of gameplay, I am beyond disappointed!! I want to like the game, but the mechanics of the gameplay are HORRIBLE!
I loved Dead Space 1 & 2. However, I expected after 10+ years and playing many other titles over the years, the developers would have advanced the avatar to be more agile. What makes the game horrifying is the lack of being able to "respond naturally". There are so many games out now available making this game painful to play! I will take the disc back to Game Stop, trade it in for another game down the road to hopefully get some of my money back. This game is as disappointing as, Cyberpunk!
Don't buy this game if you have played any recent titles like, Prey or Control. Purchase these instead!
First off, I am impressed with most of the responses. It seems opinions are, at the least objective with subjective opinion kept to a minimum. I feel all platforms are very exceptional. It is a really good thing to have such high quality graphics on all platforms. Nitpick (sp?) if you must, but for me, right now, I enjoy my platform because of the games and their, "fun" factor. I think in the next few years we will see the next generation games focusing on story-line and content. "Half-Life", raised the bar years ago and now I am just enjoying the ride, you should too. Graphics are nice eye candy, but without playability the game is just lost in the, "shoulda, coulda, woulda" pile. Am I not right?
