Cant talk, killing CT right now. I for one am actually enjoying the update for the most part. I fell it has improved the game in numerous ways. My one beef with it is the Team Fortress style death cam. You can take a screen shot of who kills you. Yeah...Mind you, it is growing on me. I can see who has is my Nemesis and hunt them down. This sale season I picked up Aliens vs Predator 2000 and Clive Barker's Jericho. I will post more on these later. Right now, I've got a bomb to plant

Oh, I t feels like I am a teenager again. Getting my ass handed to me in a game involving collectible cards. I love magic, they premise is simple, the game mechanics well balanced, and I am enjoying this Planes walkers rendition. It has pre-made decks, so you just have to worry about getting beat by a better player, not a better deck. And Raptr seems to be getting ready to track all my lost hours spent on this game. Nostalgia attack The other good development recently is Dead Space went on sale on steam. I have only played an hour of this one, and I like it. The story seems well done, the characters are not overacted, and the atmosphere is terrifying. Think Event Horizon meets Silent Hill. This one is going to be my next action adventure I play through right now, along with Half-Life 2: Episode 1, that I picked up a long time ago but never got around to playing. In the non video game front, I am gearing up to Dungeon Master my second RPGA event set in Forgotten Realms, much rejoicing, and I am really have a good time playing the D&D Encounters season 2. It is set on Athas in the Dark Sun campaign setting, a world I have loved since my 2ndEd days. The encounters format fits well with my busy schedule (2 hours, Wednesday night). Catch you later, keep those thumbs pressing and those dice rolling

I have no idea why I associate the receding of the snow, the playful frolic of squirrels, and the presence of birdsong in the air, makes me want to run down dark corridors with a plasma rifle killing demons, and I do not have enough money to pay a psychologist to figure it out, but alas, there it is. On this note, I was ecstatic to find out GoG.com has blood for sale...the video game...just thought I should clarify. Ching, I purchased the first one, and will play through it, then probably buy the second one. I am also eyeballing Painkiller Black there, and I will probably pick it up soon. Another note, steam was offering its Codemasters racing pack at 75% off this weekend, and being that the wife and kids are out of town, I was planning on having a weekend of gaming, reading, heavy metal, and zombie movies. I tried the demo of dirt 2, the newest iteration of the Colin McRae racing, and I loved it. I am not a huge fan of racing, or racing games, but I have picked up an interest in rally racing and this game is just fun to throw on and play. I purchased the game after playing the demo and look forward to many hours wasted...spent, I meant to say, enjoying this title. I am really horrible at this game, but what the heck, part of the fun is watching how mangled you car can get. Keep gaming people

I never thought that I would begin a phrase with the story 'in my day' In my day, I used to play Dungeons & Dragons, 2nd Edition, with my friends. We used to gather after school in an empty classroom after school and play this and other games. The 'War Gamers Guild' had about 25 members on the roster, and we used to game, eat snacks, laugh and sometimes just hang. I moved away, they moved on, we got jobs, families and other trappings of regular society. I played computer games at that time too, it was always a passionate interest of mine. Hours were spent playing Missile Command on my Atari 2600, Super Mario Brothers on my NES, and Ghouls N' Ghosts at the bowling alley. That was a hobby I took with me. It was portable, convenient, and something I could do alone or with others. Enter WoW. This seemed like something that would fulfill both my interests. I have not played a Table Top RPG in years, and I thought WoW might fill that void. It was fun, I quested, traded, slew monsters and explored. It was fun. I have recently decided to find a local D&D group and start gaming again. After 10 minutes, I was laughing, eating snacks, and having a great time. Here I sat, immersed in a fantasy world playing a dark elf warlock mercenary hired to explore the caverns under the city of Waterdeep, but I could look up and see real people that I was having fun with. This was what I was missing in my WoW experience. I had no sense of connection with others while I was playing. I knew their where millions of people playing , but it is not the same to me. MMORPGS are a blast, but they are no substitute to the old school table top games. I still will play them, don't get me wrong. But I would rather spend a night rolling dice and hanging with friends.

I have been waiting to purchase this one for a while. When it first became available on steam, I proceeded to download the demo. I mean, what could be wrong with this game, Pop Cap AND Square Enix? I played through the time limit demo and I was hooked, but, being the tight wad that I am, I did not want to spend the$14 dollars on it that it was regularly listed at. The steam Holiday sale came and went, and this game was, alas, not one of the ones marked down. I waited... Then comes the Square sale, probably because of the release of a new installment of Final Fantasy. I waited and watched. Then on Thursday, March 11, it is 50% off. Add to Cart -> Purchase -> Download. I would have to say I am pleased with my purchase. I enjoy the bejeweled games immensely (as I do almost every thing pop cap touches) ,and I like Squares RPGs. Mind you, there is almost no role playing element to this game, not that there is really much of one to the FF games, resembling more of a point-and-click adventure game then anything (don't flame me, I like them for all of that, their stories, although great, are linear), it IS a fun romp with the bejeweled twist mechanic that is similar to what puzzle quest did with bejeweled. So far so good, I will update again as I get further into the game.
