I have received Modern Warfare as one of my presents and I have to say it is quite good, really good actually. It seems that Infinity Ward never ceases to impress me with their shooter they release and this is definitely no exception. The thing that sets it apart from the Call of Duty franchise is that it is set in the present day and it is actually a breath of fresh air comparing to the overpopulating shooters out there.

One thing I like is that they kept the core shooting in the game and improved upon it greatly. It feels more polished than ever, but made it feel new enough to set it apart from the previous games. I cannot tell you enough of how many times that the grenade re-throw is absolute genius. One other thing noting is the newer weapons in the game. What else can I say? They are just great and each of them have a distinct feeling (just a warning out there, do not give me a loaded shotgun in the game and leave me with a room full of terrorists, because it can get messy). The AI is also very good and they are not stupid to let you shoot at so easily. They will fight back and take cover when necessary. But they are also not so smart that they will make you feel like a complete noob. In the end the difficulty is just right.

And last comes the online play. It is just great and I really am enjoying it. I find the leveling up and perks just great. Though it is annoying to play this game when you are a casual player going against COD gurus who have all the weapons and perks unlocked and keep on killing you. But those gripes aside, the online play is spectacular.

Overall I enjoyed this game and recommend it to anyone who has any interest in shooters.
