That's a good question. In my opinion, when you spend two years developing this game when CoD (their direct competitor, obviously) spends 1 year and you receive a lower score for this game than BF3 (8.5), that seems like a failure to me(relative to gamespot). Especially when you consider that CoD pumps out a crappy 8.0 installment every year and sells more.
If you disregard gamespot's review (I don't know why I keep checking this website), then the game seems very successful.
It always comes back to her personal situation, doesn't it? And it seems like every Gameplay podcast (if you listen to it) she talks about the same thing over and over each episode- her personal situation. I disagree with what she perceives as 'objective reviewing.'
@Kr3isen I counted exactly 30 new guns and 25 new attachments... I'm pretty sure I missed some. That's not counting new pistols and their new attachments, the knives, or the gadgets such as rocket launchers. Premium will probably release another 20 guns (yes 20) like last time. There were several popular guns missing from BF3 so they didn't "literally reuse everything."
Basically: (We reskinned 2/4 maps from old ones and gave you a bunch of subjective information about them. Also, we ran out of zombies ideas so we decided to just do a prequel.)
Its amazing how cocky they sound... I bet they crushed cans of redbull on their foreheads and high-fived each other after the trailer.
Not to sound like a jerk, but you missed a potentially very important multiplayer game that was before its time. MGO (Metal Gear Online/ came with MGS4) was so revolutionary that it built a ridiculously strong online community, causing Konami to leave the service up an extra 2 years.
If there is one community that needs to work on its LGBT relations/acceptance its the online gaming community. As disgusting as it is, it doesn't bother me personally to hear sexually insensitive obscenities, but if I was LGBT, I would not be able to enjoy what I love (online games) in the slightest.
